This was me circa 2014. Simply put just stay positive and keep going. Amazing the gains you can make. And I literally have drank more and done more in the last 3 years than is good for me and I frankly care to remember or would ever have thought possible. Simply put stay positive and live your life.

Go for gold with the job. Nothing worse than working a job you hate. Enjoy each day and week however tiring and the rest will take care of itself.

Cheers mate kind words.
Im super positive now, I have a reniewed vigor for life and make gains every day.
Im sure in hindsight I will look back at 2016 as the year that "made me who I am" so to speak.
But for the next year or two ill refuse to acknowledge 2016 ever happend.

My year.

Began the year by leaving a long term job due to bullying. I was ready for a change anyway.

I suffered massive anxiety and couldn't really find much work as the government had a freeze on all government health positions. I suffered really badly from anxiety and wanted to end it all. Went to counselling.

Was dumped via text by a friend. That person is still great friends with one of my closest friends. Awkward.

Discovered a lump in my breast. Was drained and biopsy sent . I was so overwhelmed with everything else that was happening to me it barely registered. Benign.

Finally found work. I like it . Yay.

Spent the year being my sons soccer manager. Enjoyed.

Went to a church and met a guy I really liked . Nothing happened.

Just as the year we ending my sister attempted suicide twice. Flew to Melbourne and back. I have an extreme phobia of flying. Did it anyway.

A year of a lot of crap. But a year of much personal growth. I am hopeful that 2017 will be my best yet.

My 2016 was great. Lived abroad for more than half the year, travelled a lot and definitely learnt more about myself and the world. I did a lot of things that scared me but I'm all the better for doing it. To me it felt I didn't take any steps backwards and took a leap forward, so can't say there's much to complain about.

Meh. Two holidays that lasted 3 weeks in total, the rest of the time I was pretty much working and drinking. Didn't go backwards but didn't go forwards. 6 week holiday coming up in the next few months which I'm looking forward to, but I'm going to come back to the same crap so hoping to get shit together so I can actually enjoy the holiday rather than thinking about what is waiting for me when I get home.

Mixed, some real negatives with some positive outcomes.

Had to take early retirement because of pain issues from surgery and sport injuries.
Nice $$$$. Reduced stress.

Had to retire from my sport for salem reasons. No positives.

My father passed away. He was very old and ill. Rapidly losing cognitive functioning. Sad, but it was time.

Really good trip to Japan.

Late in the year pain management interventions starting to take effect. Yay
Reduced meds a very positive.

Three of my students successfully completed their doctorates.

I had a good year - aside from the Doggies winning the flag, I moved in with my boyfriend and got a new job. My boyfriend finished uni after a long struggle with his health, which has been a huge weight off his shoulders. The only disappointment has been that I haven't been travelling as much as I would like to, I have saved a lot so I am ready to do it..or I could put a deposit on a house or something :unamused:

Speaking of, do you still want the coffee table?

I had a great year. I had a reasonably good year at work, I did a couple decent trips within Victoria, I travelled to Europe for the first time for five weeks, I moved house into a better place, and most importantly, I got engaged. :)

2016 was better than the previous 2 years for me so I will most definitely take it, however I have a feeling that 2017 will be even better cos I'm working on a few things and they will come fruition next year :)

Fingers crossed.

Not too bad. Parenting two young ones was tiring but rewarding. My job was busy but I was able to keep on top of things and not get too stressed. Our trip to Australia was a bit of a bust unfortunately. Lots of good time with friends and I managed to land a new job at the end of the year. I'll give it a B-
