WOW - sounds like fun - I'm jealous ;)

Actually I was just talking with my flatmate (also a nerdy beancounter) about how we'd love to be passionate about our job, but in accounting - there's just no room for passion (except in the stairwell at lunchtime - oops - just kidding :) ) - its not that we hate our jobs - there's just no reward in it (expcept for our partners who get to pay off their luxury houses and motor vehicles from our slavery  )

Hmmmm........is it just us or do people in other professions also go for the stairwell grope? :D

Looking at numbers all day, those stair breaks are the only thing that gets me through the day.............!

It looks like I don't have a job anymore, because it was temporary to begin with, and I broke my ankle yesterday while I was on my way to work. I managed to work all day, but I don't think that crutches would be too good in the warehouse. Grrr. Oh well, back to square one.

I work in childcare as well as a fill in and i agree with wot u guys say about it. Sitting in an office like a stunned mullet you get nothing but to help the kids and make them laugh and see that you have made a difference to their day is a great feeling. It is pretty tiring but i am aching after lifting 30 or so kids up the ladder and onto the see saw for 2 hours straight. But it is pretty fun work because after all this we made ice cream soup threw spaghetti around then thankfully the lil beggers went to sleep for a few hours :D I feel sorry for some of the kids though as yesterday i had to nurse a sick baby and i couldn't imagine leaving my child so young especially when it was sick so yeh you feel good after hopefully putting a bit of fun into their day .

Hitman,

I work casually at Rebel. What store will you be working at?

I am a Primary teacher, but I only work casually, because I have a 2 1/2 yr old. I'm with the Child care workers train of thought. To work with children is the most rewarding as well as exhausting work! I've also been an Integration Aide at a Special School and that is great too. It only takes one hug or smile from a child to cheer you up!!:) :)
