Does anyone want a pass for 4 for a round of golf at Club Mandalay? Off The Bench on SEN sent me one for me sending them tonnes of audio blooper gold in recent years :D

we could arrange a Big Footy round for the regular posters on here?

Not a round, but just got back from Gold Coast where I checked out Top Golf. Can be pretty pricey, but a cool layout and good options with the food and drinks too.

Looks like a ton of fun

Entertaining past weekend. Saturday, Little AC went shot for shot with another boy down the stretch. They boys remained tied from the fifth hole until they stepped to the tee at the ninth. It included Little AC rolling in a 28 footer to save par on the seventh hole and the other boy having just watched that, rolling in a 7 footer to stay equal. Last hole was Par 4, 305 with water cutting across about 15 yards in front of green. The other boy laid up on his second. Little AC was about 135 to the pin (had used 3 wood off tee cause wanted to make sure the sucker was on fairway) and needed to carry about 120. He asked if he should lay up, which actually caught me by surprise as he is always a go for it guy. I told him if he was playing to try to win the tourney he should let er rip. He did and he won by 1 shot.

Next day he started off on fire and hit the Par 4, 4th hole in regulation but inexplicably 4 putted. That let everyone back in it and it was back and forth until the 9th when he had the opportunity to win with 2 putts but ended up with 3. First playoff hole was Par 4, 300 yards. Driver, 8 iron to middle of green and this time, got the 2 putts for Par and another W. Showed a little something shaking off the 9th green and also finally won a playoff as he was very much aware of and vocal to me about how he never won one before. (0-3 to that point)

That mathematically wrapped up the summer session with one to go this coming Saturday. So will punch his ticket for 2019 World's officially this coming weekend. Great thing about that is can pick and choose when and where he plays in Fall and Spring.

I had 36pts yesterday apparently. Was in a rush as I had to pick up my children from school and left the scoring for my partner. A wash on the last became a 4 a 3. On Tuesdays the result isn’t done until later today. Should I try and fix it?

Why wouldn't you? Definitely should

Boy had to remain upright and finish tournament yesterday--happy to report he did so. Everything else was completely forgettable on the day.

Overall, a good summer especially adjusting to big leap in yardages and has 2019 invite in hand.

We leave for North Carolina on Saturday and first event is father/son 9 hole shotgun best ball Monday morning.

This is the event I am most looking forward to--I know it's the least important for him ;)

Stacks up well if you can get away occasionally during the week for golf. The free rounds all are midweek only.

Their "Events" are typically Sundays however - although you have to pay for those.

Haven't played in a couple of months, been a very busy period with new internship and full time uni. Venturing out tomorrow for a swing. Will be rough and have packed a few extra balls accordingly.

Little guy played in a county junior golf tourney this morning. Division he fell under was 13U. Shot a 35 and missed a 4 footer on the last for a 34. Won the age division, so about as perfect a final tune up before we head south on Saturday as he could have done.

Now its off to face the big dogs. I want him to just have fun and I would be happy no matter where he finished. However, Mr. Competitive was steaming over his missed putt on the last in a tournament he owned from beginning to end.

I left to shower and head for work as he was meeting with a reporter, so god only knows what the boy said. Should make for an interesting read in the morning.
