nah, quite high actually. but being a crafty bugger i havent played comp till now for a while after having a series of lessons. kinda like shaq getting help from eddie palubinskas on FTs. everything going down the guts now with nice distance. so yeah handicap came down from stephen curry to houstons marcus camby.

so yes, i would love to play a round with you vinny. oh say what? i got 2 shots heeerrrr again? well i might just pop on in 2, and 2 putt for 4 pts.

True story. I once had to give a guy two shots on a Par 3 in matchplay. I make birdie and he holes a 35 footer for his bogey 4 for a half. I was whistled for a technical foul.

stroke round just fks me up. blokes in the group felt sorry for me when i couldnt land 4 balls off the tee. i had enough and started walking the rest of the hole. they decided to give me 12 for the hole.

calamity continued on another hole. lost ball off the tee. 12 again without looking. hate it when you have no confidence off the tee. also felt i was holding the group up, so just didnt give a fk about having shots anymore.

oh yeah, so other 3 blokes (who play together regularly) wanted to play match play (2 v 2). felt like i had too.

then after 9, my partner informs me the game is split into 3:

1st 9 - losers give winners $5 each (2 x 5)
2nd 9 - same as above
after 18 - losers give 10 bucks (each, 2 x 10) to winners

wtf???? they shouldve informed me at the start. but at the same token, god its hard to say no to players in the group, u feel like a tight arse despite the fact u have every right to reject.

That certainly sucks, not sure I would have given up the $$ without it being mentioned up front.

I know what you mean off the tee..very recently put two in the water off the tee on a par 3...dropped one to give me a somewhat closer shot, mis-hit, straight in the water again. Didn't hit any more on that hole.

so backed up today. blistering sunshine but god the wind was up! the moonah course - first 2 holes into the wind. first shot pulled it low, maybe 5m at best. mate grabbed the ball and told me to reload. second shot, same action, perhaps 25m to the left. didnt bother looking.

second hole, another wipe.

9 wipes after 18 holes for 18 pts. great.

The wind was bad today, I was at Waterford Valley myself, bad wind there makes a few of the par fours play like par fives. Hit it OK today..putted horrendously, actually beyond a joke my putting at this point. Not sure how to fix it, though I think I'm just putting pressure on myself.

what i hate about the wind on the moonah is the rough. wtf u say? well, wind takes ball away at speed and a sharp angle into long grass. the ball would no doubt end up underneath. want to find the ball? think again. find it, but declare it lost straight away.

Yep, that sucks. I've played a couple of courses down there, spent a bit of time in the rough myself. Have played Cape Schanck, Eagle Ridge, and Moonah Links Open course. Lost lots of balls at Cape Schanck and Eagle Ridge...lots and lots.

rains all week so even if it's fine on sat/sun the course is an absolute bog. last saturday we had tee it up everywhere, it was a joke. was fun teeing up your ball on the fairway whilst on the par 5's and spanking your driver again, but that's not really 'golf' IMO.

father/son day this weekend. will be my first hit in a while, the old man might have to carry me.
