Few things more frustrating than having a whole working week of nice weather then the forecast for Saturday is high wind and rain. Get ****ed.

My return to golf at Bacchus Marsh a fortnight ago was decent, started off a bit rusty with a front 9 of 50, some very poor swings. Played the back nine in 44, which could have been a touch better, had 3 lip outs. Greens were in fantastic condition, best greens i have played on in a while, fair ways were ok a bit dry in places.

Was just happy to get back swinging again, i still have the blood clots in the lungs, however got through the round with no issues, so happy with all that happened on the day.

Ye that is correct, things are on the improve. One thing i found, i was conscious of was slowing swing down to make sure nothing silly happened, so in a way having the clots made me try and swing a bit easier

Peninsula-Kingswood south course.

40 points. lost 1 ball. Confidence in driver 50-50 and now i truncate the swing. Not getting distance obvs. But the blocks and fades arent going as far. A birdie and a couple of pars getting me 4 pointers help propel my round and arvo.

35 Points yesterday which was great considering i've been playing like shit all winter. Actually wasn't hitting the ball that well, I just putted like a man possessed. couldn't miss em.

Stretch run to the golf season for the boy begins this weekend. Has tourneys Saturday and Sunday. Then one a weekend until end of October and shut it down for winter.

Not to worry though, basketball practice began 2 weeks ago and their coach has them hopping already.

Most importantly grades holding steady at 90% and above....although his old man would prefer 93% and above.

A bucket load of pars
No birdies
2 decent drives with the driver all day, in the 27 holes i think i hit driver maybe 8 times off the tee.
My Putting pace excellent,
Greens inconsistent as fk
60 degree wedge, will be replaced in bag this week (gotta be the club right)

conditions wouldve been horrendous mate. temperature wasnt great either right?

To be fair it was in really poor condition.

Not sure if it was weather/frost/sun related but fairways and greens were the worst I'd sern them, and yes it was bitterly cold

Cheers mate , it has been an awesome day, and one positive out if the blood clots was i couldn't fly home to Perth last weekend for a planned trip means i got to experience today.

So Alex dropped a 5 footer from above the hole on 9 to make par and shoot a +1, 37.

Another boy who is an outstanding young golfer was able to equalize his 37 and boys went to a playoff

Alex hit drive down right side carrying bunker and ending up down in thick rough not unlike at the Ryder Cup. Peter followed the same line and landed in bunker.

Peter got out but about 50 yards short of green. Alex somehow got club down and picked it out of rough onto fairway 42 out.

Peter hit onto green but left himself 25 feet for par. Alex put his third 6 feet left of hole.

Peter got it to 3 feet. Alex had a putt that broke heavily to right---I thought it might not break as much but I have long ago learned to defer to his instinct/eye.

Kid drained the par putt for win.

Both boys should have played for our Ryder cup team--they putted better than 3/4 of our squad.

It was enjoyable to watch and man these kids make my game look hopeless and then some
