Played three rounds last week here in Perth
Marangaroo (18 holes) shot 92
Point Walter (9) shot 44
Altone Park (9) shot 44

Reasonable rounds for me. Great to be out there again.

There’s 55 active cases in the entire state.

Should be open now.
Even if it was open now I'm sure much golf would be played over the next few days anyway

If they open I'm playing

been out in horizontal rain before at the home club. 3 players out there in total. haha
Putrid.
I was in the final 4 at my club champs for B Grade last year and the last day... wow. Worst conditions I’ve ever played in exactly how you say horizontal, it hailed for a bit and the wind was off its head but I had to play and hang in there. People walking off the course everywhere except the last four in each grade basically!
Then the guy leading my grades buggy took off in the wind when he was putting on 12 and headed straight in to the drink, I saw it and took off just as he was about to putt and quite heroically saved it just as it was going in down a steep drop! He was very thankful but rattled and 4 putted!
He fought his way back and on 18 two of them were level but he played the hole better and then once on the green the other fella had a long putt from off the edge and the green was covered in leaves, little seedling things and all sorts of shit it was that crappy a day and his ball hit one and went in a 45 degree angle for par no bullshit. The other bloke was a broken man again and 3 putted from 8 feet to lose.

Most bizarre I ever played in was at Olinda.
Early start, was fresh, 3rd hole it started snowing f f s

May as well wait til the 11th rather than jumping the gun early and undoing hard work. Each day reducing new cases is closer to eradicating the virus in the state and country.

no practice facilities open?
They don’t want you hanging around before or after a round. The putting green has no holes. Plus, I’m lazy and I know that it hinders my performance. Instead of playing off 14 if I warmed up before every round I’d properly be off single figures.

Good point re: hanging around. Same at PK. I know there will be golfers around teh country spitting chips at not being able to practice (or on restrictions as to how many players can use the putting green), but seriously is it the end of the world?

I'm a carpark to first tee golfer, if I'm lucky I might have one or two quick stretches and practice swings before hitting off the first tee.

This new wave of golf might be right up my alley.

I'm the same, I'd only ever have a practice putt if I had to hang around for a little bit before i tee off and even then I'll only have like 4-5 putts to get a general idea of speed. Then spend the rest of my time in the bar haha.

Love it guys. This new golf (lets call the T20 golf or t20g) will suit you guys to a tee!

im the opposite, arrive at least an hour before, get the card, chat with members and staff. Range practice for 10-20 mins. Walk to putting green, quick putt. Stroll to the first tee with purpose
