60 at Spring Park yesterday, yuck nothing going again with no practice time had to keep tinkering on course. Score wasn't the worst considering it was extremely windy, and I'm not sure if its the number of new players to Golf, but the greens are destroyed there. Pitch marks and lumps and bumps, tiny spots missing grass made putting a nightmare. Every single putt would bump and deviate all the way as there's just so much damage to the greens.

Lumps and bumps - as its a public course, do they have greenskeepers? Its expected that they do not, or if they do its not something the council run facility overly prioritise. So i think some slack can be given. Pitch marks, social golfers probably do not know how to fix them...you know ones who rock up every now and then.

But hey, even at private clubs this happens all the time! ****in frustrating

Oh yeh not really having a go, it happens, but just an observation, I've played there maybe a dozen times over the last 3 or 4 months, and yesterday was noticeably the worst its been. Its like every green was really messy.

Well I hope most of the melbournians got your last rounds in for at least 6 weeks today. I thought the restrictions would start Wednesday night so could get a couple more rounds in but nope today was the last round.

Yeah and unfortunately they didn’t act the ‘horrid round exemption.’ As far as I know that applies to anyone scoring less than 24 points would be able to play again one last time before lockdown.

I did. Finished 18 holes just after 5. At Peninsula Kingswood CGC.

Played like a dog. Rushing.

feeling for all Victorian peeps. hope you can play again in 6 weeks.

I sorted out my personal yearly golf stats from August lat year. So things like GIR, Fairway hits, % of bogies/pars etc and see compare it to my friends and my previous year. nice improvement in all categories which is very nice to see.

one area I found interesting compared to my playing partners were my putting stats. I had completed the most 1 putts(about 15% of each hole), but I had also done the most 3+ putts(around 35%....). So i figured I was too aggressive in my putting. the first hole yesterday, longish putt, I under-hit so badly it barely reached halfway. finished with a 4 putt. sigh.....ended up with 1 one putt, 1 two-putts and 7!! 3+ and overs...

Instead of blaming myself, I think I am going to do is blame my equipment. new putter required.

Think I’m going to buy me a net this time.
I was putrid on the return not going through that again!

We have plenty of divots and pitch marks not being repaired and it’s mostly the members ffs. 🤬

Not sure TBH. Rural Vic going into stage 3...where we were at...So I guess they can play in groups of 2 with a mask?
Yes. Just had an email from my club is that it's groups of 2 and a mask.
