Now that we're out of the NAB cup, most of us won't see the Tiges play until round one unless you live out in the country somewhere for a Challenge match. Therefore, based on what you have seen so far, what is your best round 1 22?

My round team would be a whole lot of fat blokes. Also, your team looks pretty much like mine but I'd have McMahon and Schulz/Pattison in for Thomson and Graham.

I like that line-up, but with Patto instead of Graham if fit.

Note: If Patto is fit I would play him at CHF, this allows Riewoldt to play as the 3rd tall and IMO is a much better role for him. If not then Schulz gets the position.

Patto - is our best second ruck option, competes well around the ground, our other ruck options dont. He gives 100% out there, Graham to me looks like a lump of a lad that hasnt got alot of footy skill, also Patto like Simmo covers alot of ground. Vickery - Raw (but good signs)

McMahon - Play on the wing and let him run, has speed and usually a good kick, play him like a chance bateman.

Polo - I like in defence

Tambling - To earn his spot, not a regular unlesss for coburg atm.

Johnson - Will be in team yet his days are past him..

Jackson - Will be in team but I say for games he needs to be.

Cogs - emergency unless he comes good

Your team is pretty good but I'd have Vickery instead of Graham thats how much I don't rate Graham. That way Vickery can swap with Simmonds in ruck and both can push foward to stretch Carlton's defence. I would also find some way to sneak Thomson and Rance into the squad as they bring something to the team we lack. Tackling.

I am intersted as to why Rance isnt in anyones teams.

He linked up well last night, had 16 touches and in my opinion showed more than Mcguane last week.

I went with Jackson over Polo. I think that they play very similar rolls for us.. both can be attacking taggers. I just think Polo's form at the moment is superior to Jackson. However, you have to go with the recent history that Jackson has had on Judd.

Unfortunately, I can't fit Coughlan in, so I've gone with Thomson. Like the Polo/Jackson situation, they play for the same spot in the side.

Pattison pretty much automatically gets a game because we need the backup ruckman to help Simmonds out.

Edwards and White outperforming Tambling at this point in time, but I couldn't fit him in. How good is that? Good depth sign.

Oh, and this is provided Cotchin can't get up.

Yeah, a valid point for sure Morro. I really like Rance too. I just think with 80 - 90k at the MCG and a must win game, I think McGuane. Sure, a good stepping stone for Rance to be thrown in at the deep end, but McGuane, Moore, Thursty works so well for us.
