I'm struggling ATM in my league just scrapping wins against average sides in the last 2 weeks to get back in the 8 with a 5-4 record. Our leader is undefeated and averaging 2270 points vs. my average of 2169.

The funny thing is when I compare my best possible score based on the current player averages mine is better, 2388 vs. 2354 (includes double points for your captain).

Is there a point to this thread? Probably not, I think I'm just trying to make myself feel better about my under-performing team. So feel free to post your potential team average vs. actual team average.

potential 2388 vs. actual 2169

potential average: 2350 vs. actual average 2157.92
Actual Score: 2287 (1 donut, thank you brown)

Have mad my highest score of 2441 couple weeks back

****ed up b4, that look right Speedy

potential - 2155.4, actual - 2077.08

this week - 2278, with 2 donuts.

Not sure what that says, i hope it means i'm on the improve, rather than my team is underperforming on average, or over performed this week. but I think it just emphasises my bad start to the year.

I think its hard to compare potential average now with overall average for the season because the team has changed alot over the year and it takes a while for the total average to catchup to the current average, if it ever does.

I don't think I have made the potential average v actual average totally clear.

Actual average would be your teams points average for the year that is displayed on your supercoach home page.

Potential average is based on your best starting 22 (regardless of availability) using the current player averages.

Not sure if you are responding to me speedy, but it was perfectly clear to me what you meant, maybe I was not clear with what I meant.

My potential vs actual was exactly those figures that you say (potential was including all of my starting 22). I also posted my score this week as I thought it was interesting that it was considerably higher than my potential average, even with 2 players not playing.

2482 potential v 2302.17 real average

The difference is because of the improvement in your side through trading - if you draft Chapman this week, his 125 average immediately improves your sides potential average, but not your real average, obviously.

Also, when you count your potential average you use no bench players, which you will use from time to time in your real average, hence lowering your score. If a good player misses a few weeks it hurts your real average, not your potential one, assuming they don't play at all.

Potnetial average: 2295 vs actual average: 2183.

Scored 2059 on the w/end. :o Doughies from Higgins, Didak & JB, and chronic underperformance from almost everybody else. :thumbsd:
