There is a lot to like about what we’re seeing out of the club these days …

… so who / what specifically are you dedicating your toast of the week to?

I’ll kick it off with a toast to the team of Wright, Licca, Murphy and Ball for the fantastic work they did selecting our Senior Coach.

Obviously it’s very early days in Fly’s tenure, and I’m the kind of person who probably would have been excited at this stage about anybody they picked …

… but for me, Fly is probably the most relatable of our Senior coaches I’ve seen us have. I don’t think he’s put a foot wrong so far. I love his modesty yet forthrightness. I love his team approach (we see that with the way he’s set up his team of assistants) and I love his respect for the individual. I enjoy the way he carries himself in press conferences.

Our results this year have far exceeded my expectations. Our observable game style this year has far far exceeded my expectations (I expected that it would take another year or two for things to be this different).

At a time when we see some young coaches have struggled (Rutten, Dew), I think the team of Wright, Licca, Murphy and Ball really seem to have hit the jackpot for us. Here’s a toast to them 👍🍷

Orange Marmalade. Poll above.

i complement the club in general for keeping their collective mouths shut, so I've hardly heard a peep from any of them. The exception was the browne thing about not exceeding the salary cap which was fine.

The coach has been boring and getting more boring, which is also a compliment. This week's post game was 5 minutes of snooze in line with one week at a time.

The themes are simple about trying and thanking the fans and a couple of others. Nothing worth a mention in a newspaper, which is good.

Let's hope this keeps up forever. And no, I am not being cynical or sarcastic or anything other than relieved.

My toast of the week is definitely raisin!

Goes well with a coffee and liberal smearings of butter.

In a Collingwood sense, I would give it to Beau McCreery, who gave the best palm-down since Jesus re-entered Jerusalem to provide Checkers with a goal assist and a highlight for the ages. Probably won’t get a stat but gets the golden raisin toast from me!

Checkers. How was this guy playing full back in the VFL for so long? Genuine star AFL forward with an ever expanding trick bag. Love him

No apricot jam option. ☹️
Can I share your toast? 100% agree.

Josh Daicos. Has lifted a level this year and is in our best consistently. Has that laser-focused look about him. Will finish high in the Copeland.
