I wasn't there. But reading your reviews pretty impressed. Could of been disaster at their age.

I'm happy they are going out in style.

Respect.

In the front GA section ,The 2nd half of the show became more like a UFC card than a rock concert

That sucks. Was in rear GA and didn’t see any violence. Problem with big arena shows are that they attract people who don’t usually see bands. They just want to hear the one or two songs they hear on MMM, get pissed and in some instances, act like morons.

Ac/dc were phenomenal,Only downside was the amount of drunken bogan dickheads there
I always wanted to see Cold Chisel but saw a concert on tv of them at the Myer Music Bowl and the drunk dumb bogan crowd would have pissed me off so much. Fooeys crowd annoyed me too the first time I saw them.

I’m not old yet but I’m already a very grumpy old man. People shit me!! Maybe it’s just dumb bogans. Other crowds are fine…

Yeah a mate sent me a vid of that song and I thought the same thing haha. To be fair I'm half Angus' age and I struggle with it still

Seen a few videos of him playing Thunderstruck at some shows earlier in the year and it made me less enthusiastic about getting a ticket.

I saw Chisel in Ballarat a year ago and there was a few dropkicks but they were a generally well behaved bunch

Started listening to Porcupine Tree, their Deadwing album. Not my go to type of music but there's some really good stuff on it.

Steven Wilson wears many hats and Porcupine Tree is a small sample of what he does musically. May be give his solo stuff a try. I would recommend the album, The Harmony Codex as it gives you his full range of musical talent & genres.

Going to all except Dream Theatre at this stage.

Wasn't sure about going to Dream Theatre either until Portnoy made his comeback to the band. Love his drumming and the energy he provides. Magini is an exceptional drummer but boring to watch with no stage presence at all.

Also not a fan of Jordan Rudess on keyboards either. I find his playing a million notes per minute even in ballads irritating.
Would love it if Kevin Moore made a comeback to the band but that ain't happening as he has retired from music all together and now practicing as a psychiatrist in North Dakota

Anyone seen Helmet in recent years?

They touring in April, haven't seen or even heard much of them this century. They still any good?
They’re still good, but maybe a bit long in the tooth.

Saw them at the Croxton a couple of years ago, the sound wasn’t great, and I don’t really like that place at all, but they still played a heap of their best tunes so it was a good night.
