Yze vs Ottens

Did anyone read the one-sided Herald-Sun article about the game on the weekend ?? They virtually handed the mark of the year to Yze, even though he was all by himself.

Get on the Herald/AFL website and vote for Ottens.

Ottens is a massive guy, he took a hanging pack mark over a guy's shoulder. Yze on the other hand took a mark on someone's back, UNCONTESTED.

Vote now or we will have a serial UNCONTESTED marker of the year take the throne.

That guy also happened to be 200cms tall [Darren Jolly].
I'd have Ottens and Mundy before Yze.Hunt took a similar mark to the Yze's only a few minutes later.

Yze good vey good mark, jumped over Hunt nearly missed the ball and took the mark on ther way down. Did not hang there

Otto huge mark jumped on two bigs Jolly and Hall stayed there and and clearly the best mark for this year and most likely the past few years. Not often do you see a 200cm player on the shoulders of other 200cm players taking hangers.

My vote Otto lets not forget how high he was when he grabbed the ball. Otto 200cm on the shoulders of Jolly add another 180cm puts him about twelve feet off the ground Yze would have been around 9-10 feet. Thats why I vote OTTO

Not only that but on the Sunday footy show Brian Taylor was salivating saying it was definitely mark of the year. He is apparently one of the judges and as such said he would be voting it mark of the year Sure it was a great mark but Yze did get a good unimpeded and uncontested run at Josh although the tumbling effects probably clinched it. You wouldn't know it by the media but there was another great mark in the same game. Difference being it was Josh.

Ottens also had Callan trying to spoil his marking attempt too. Yze's mark was uncontested.

Ottens mark was far more spectacular, but the problem is that people have short memories. PLUS - is BT the biggest d1ckhead on television? I think so...

I always rate a pack screamer higher than a “perfect sit” screamer.

Yze’s was a fantastic grab but he had the perfect sit over Hunt whereas Ottens came from nowhere and rose over the pack.

For a 200cm bloke to stand above another 200cm bloke and take the mark in his hands, that is almost impossible to top.
