Motlop's always done better in winning sides, particularly when they're caning someone down at Kardinia Park. He'd be a great addition to a side in contention but none of them seem to want him.

Not what we need unless he was gift-wrapped cheap but even then there's the questions over his attitude. I really like him at his best, but not for us.

Motlop out, Lids in, via 3 way trade (I know they rejected him - but Motlop would be perfect at Richmond to go missing with Cotch).
Vardy to Port for a second or third rounder gives the Cats an extra pick.
Kerstans to Freo for a late pick also helps them.

Tuohy for Guthrie or for two second round picks - ideally their 2017 second round pick which helps us with GWS trade (keeping #5 at CFC).

Kind of admire the quality focus at Geelong. Pay the trade price, get two quality players in. Try and win another flag.

Think SOS is of this mind too. You pay what it takes to get the players you target instead of freaking out about what they cost. Swings and roundabouts in this game: Danger for unders, Selwood for nix, Hendo for overs, but mission accomplished so who cares about what picks etc it took?

Vickery two year $1m contract = pick #26.
Waites 3 year $1m+ contract = donuts. (another anti CFC AFL ruling)

Bet Waite plays more games for Norf than Vickery does for Hawks.

If "skilful" means having no left boot then I agree with you. When it comes to tackling & forward pressure he couldn't hold down a piece of paper in the wind.

Not having a crack at anyone and personally couldn't care less, but I couldn't imagine a convo like this getting too far if it was about players from the women's team.

I think that they would have factored in that Motlop, Kersten and maybe others would be moved on to create some salary cap room.
No-one seems interested in Motlop though, so I am hoping that trend continues so that we can send Tuohy to either Sydney or North for better picks.
For Sydney, salary cap wise, Mitchell out and Tuohy in would cause a minimum of fuss.

They can trade future picks from the 2nd round onwards. They can't trade a first round pick without acquiring one first.

I agree on the first sentence. I disagree with the second. Personally I wouldn't have a problem talking about an elite athlete being out of condition, regardless of sex, but I couldn't imagine anybody getting away with names like 'fat lump', 'wouldn't fit through the door', 'anti-fatties'.

Not sure if Women should be treated equally or if you should never mention if a womens footballer is overweight, as then you are a body shaming sexist.

That's sexism for you. 3rd wavers are to blame.
If any of our Carlton girls turn up fat (proportionate to how fit a Female AFL player should be, I don't expect them to be shredded like male footy players are) i'll say as such. They're professional athletes.
