No, but they are both rebounding defenders. That's the role Tuohy plays. He is a good player, but he isn't the right age and wanted too much money, gone are the days of using paying solid B+ players A+ money.

AFAIK, none of the contracted Cats players want out and without their consent it aint happening. Tigers saw that with Caddy.

I get the desire to take certain players as one of yours, albeit OOC, wants out but currently the system does not allow it.

With any luck, we can get 41 from Freo, package that with 36 to GCS whom are looking for points and get one of their mid 20's picks of which they have 3 I believe.

You'd then get that 20 something for 2e.

Or conversely, he stays not wanting to be there or walks out and Im pretty sure none of the 3 parties are looking for that outcome.

Happy to take you on your word regarding Caddy & Lang, but GCS aren't looking for points: they've got too many right now.

I reckon we just pony up another 50k and a year to keep tuohy and not risk the humiliation of getting unders for a player that will dominate the league at HB with a top 4 team like Geelong.

We keep Gibbs, he proves a point to everyone and makes AA finally hitting his prime. Injury free and leading a young midfield
We keep tuohy who steps up again for the third consecutive year and gets an AA Spot
Draft Taranto and gallucci in the middle with 5 and 23. Tell gws to take 2nd next year or **** off.

We weren't far off it this year anyway. Grab Fyfe end of 2017 and people will be jealous they didn't jump on when they could.

Bring on 2018 already. Better yet watch us bury players like Cameron, crouch and Lang in 2017. The fire in our bellies will be there for all to see. Lang couldn't even beat Scott ****ing selwood to a mid spot last year. Do we really want him for tuohy???

They are both required players for us. Cocky will replace Motlop as dynamic outside player with better defensive skillls and Lang will turn into a Kelly/Corey type Mid for us that also will rotate in the F50.

Thus, not available for 2E. And if there is nothing that the CFC finds suitable, which is fair, then it wont happen.

The OOC makes it more difficult for you to retain and lever the deal, but its not impossible and GFC tend to deal with reason.

Well they sure better be more reasonable than you. Tuohy is worth more than Lang as it is, but no only rubbish players who can't crack a game are available.
