Jimmae
Brownlow Medallist
Buckley's not going to be playing in defence, and it's not because of a lack of poise.

Think his willingness to lose 2e is purely based on his expectation we would get another talented kid in or a high pick. Very content to keep him - hence the 3 year deal (albeit smaller than valued) on the table.Sos us a bit if a contradiction. He clearly emphasises the importance of defence in his trading- weitering, plowman, marchbank etc, yet he is prepared to lose an important player such as tuohy. I just hope the restless one has got this one right

If reports of Carlton asking for a trade of Tuohy for Cockatoo are true, then I would say Carlton aren't intending to make the trade happen at all. There is zero chance Geelong will agree to that, which SOS and co. would well-know. I think your guys must be confident Tuohy won't nominate for the PSD and will ultimately settle on the contract offered.

Pity DVR hasn't stepped up to the plate so far....anyone younger who does all those things .
There's plenty of those lying around, yes?
What about if we chucked in a pick that would get Lids?If reports of Carlton asking for a trade of Tuohy for Cockatoo are true, then I would say Carlton aren't intending to make the trade happen at all. Not neccesarily true. Cockatoo probably wont be best 22 next year. Tuohy will be.
We'd sure like to land Deledio, but I'd say the club has Cockatoo in the 'untradable players' column with Dangerfield and Selwood. What about if we chucked in a pick that would get Lids?
Byrne is/will be a better player than Tuohy but i think they'd work better as a tandem, rather than Byrne replacing him.
Buckley has nowhere near the poise that tuohy has IMO
he's gonna leave a fairly big hole in our list I think

Not sure about the crystal ball gazing but Cockatoo seems the sort of guy you'd keep around. Once he finds his feet he may well tear a game apart.
Plus, I couldn't stand the Carlton BF puns, they would be many and endless. Think of it, his name has a rude word with multiple meanings, the name of a bird and a number in it.
The thread would easily run into the 1000's of pages.
Along with your other top 30 or so players. Maybe you could give us your 2017 85th round pick? We'd sure like to land Deledio, but I'd say the club has Cockatoo in the 'untradable players' column with Dangerfield and Selwood.
no one is untradeable.
it depends on what the clubs strategy is. are you going all out next year? or staying competitive?

A little from column A, a little from column B.
Cockatoo may play a role in Geelong's push for a flag in 2017, but ultimately he is a key player Geelong are grooming for the future.
All players are tradable, true, but it depends on where they are at in their career and where the list is at. For example, Dangerfield isn't tradable at the moment, or Selwood, or Hawkins. Or Cockatoo for that matter.
I'm curious to see how this trade pans out. But like I said, it doesn't seem Carlton are really playing ball here (pardon the dreadful pun).
Geelong has a history of being very fair and accommodating traders. Often to the frustration of its own supporters. But unfortunately, there isn't much to offer this year.
Damn, they were the next two on my list. We'd sure like to land Deledio, but I'd say the club has Cockatoo in the 'untradable players' column with Dangerfield and Selwood.
What offers have you made?
We have 38 ... and err ... why don't you choose from that box labelled 'players who refuse to be traded'.
Yeah, like I said, somewhat limited capital to work with this year. What offers have you made?

Jimmy Bartel could do it!Patience, we have until 2pm Thursday by which there would have been other deals go down which may unlock pick swaps or minor trades that get us to a point where both clubs are happy.
