West Indies don't look like they will give Australia a challenge this summer including the one dayers, but Zimbabwe will be a test for Australia. They are hitting good form. Even though, in the test against India they couldn't avoid the follow on, there are some players to look out for. The Flower brothers are going to be the killers this summer. We look like we have a challenge on our hand. Streak is also one to watch out for. I think that the Zimbabwe side will match up well with the Australian one.

Dont underestimate Zimbabwe! They have a good battling lineup of Alistar Campbell and the Flower brothers (Grant and Andy), throw in Carlisle and Whittall who have impressed me and they can make a healthy runchase. As far as their bowling department goes, Heath Streak is the key... Olonga and Strang will need to provide good support.

I certainly hope that they are competitive, as I can just visualize going to the one dayer this year and wacthing 'babwe getting rolled for 130 odd or somthing, and getting to see about 25 overs of us batting.

If I remember correctly, their feilding is world class though, which always goes further in ODI's.

Yeah, well they sure will be competitive. Second Test V India has proven a lot. They had to follow on because India reached 603 and they were bowled out for 382. The main contributors were G Flower 106, A Flower 55, Whittel 85.
Second Innings reads a different story.
Cambel 102 and so far Andy Flower not out on 212 and still going. It will head to a draw but with Zimbabwe's danger men on fire in a test, the one dayers might be a bit of a surprise. Everyone thinks that Australia will easily win the one dayers, but if Zimbabwe's Flower Brothers Whittal, Streak and other players are on fire, they will be dangerous. Whether or not they will face Australia's bowling attack is another story. But the final will be between Zimbabwe and Australia. The West Indies have no chance in the world for these one dayers.
But, this test against India is bringing the form of the Zimbabwe players right up and we should be in for a top summer of cricket.

Your kidding aren't you ? Zimbabwe are handy with a couple of good bats but they won't seriously test Oz. They might pinch one of the 8 one dayers and they well might beat the WI and play in the finals but their not in the same league - sorry.

I have to disagree with you there. Wait and see. Zimbabwe have the skill to beat Austrlia and win the whole series but whether they show it or not is another story.
