Disgrace? You mustn’t recall when the AFL said ‘enoughs enough’ and literally had to pay for Paul Roos and Peter Jackson to get you out of the shit. No club apart from expansion clubs have copped that kind of leg up.

As for Oliver, he was off balance and didn’t brace for contact at all. Not a dive.
The Blues did ok when the AFL fined them for cheating the cap and then immediately loaned them the money to pay the fine :thumbsu:

But yes, the AFL were very kind to us. They helped put a CEO in place, and helped cover the cost for the coach. If Carlton have a repeat of 2018 in 2019, I suspect you will get the same treatment.

Terrible argument - they loaned us the money meaning we still had to pay it back! That’s how loans work.

Nah, they won’t be paying for coaches and CEO’s to come on board. We’d be able to cover the cost due to the finances not being so bad and 50,000+ members. Unlike Melbourne’s 30,000 members and poor off field situations.

Anyway just try to enjoy your teams upcoming successes without being a dick eh?

Let’s not exaggerate what we were actually given.

$1.45m to pay out Schwab, Neeld, Connolly and anyone else who got the arse. Roos alone was on more than $1m a year so there would barely be enough left over to pay for his first year. Unless you’re going to talk equalisation funding which every club gets. The line about paying for our coach and CEO gets thrown around with little knowledge of what was actually in the bailout package.

As for no other club getting the same leg up, Port is just one example that dwarfs the size of our grant when they were getting financial assistance a few years prior.

are you both implying that if we took oliver of weitering that we would be in a better place?
Oliver and Cripps in the same midfield would be scary, very hard to contain.

Indeed. Not sure why Cripps has been brought up by Melbourne supporters though.

Cripps is not a flopper or diver like Oliver and Rance.
Because

imagine taking salem over cripps

A Carlton supporter decided to randomly shitcan our drafting of a player who looks like the next Jarryd McVeigh

Bumping this thread was petty, the response was even more petty.

Classic BigFooty.

Both supporters need to pull their heads in.
