Real shame Evans dropped that last simple chest mark 10m out. He had a huge quarter, deserved that.

Good finishing and clearly a lot more class in our side, but the real fight and scrappy moments have been poor. They've been more willing to fight and we're looking spooked at times. Once we get some space and run going, when we don't turn it over, we look good.

Really hoping the effort lifts dramatically in Q3.

Evans best on in 2nd. Mead has been our best but making mistakes. Jonas meh and making mistakes. Burgoyne looks like he is only really interested in the outside ball, doesn't seem to want to play the defensive side much. Fantasia ok. McCallum has been more active than I've seen him, probably his best game so far. Lord is clearly our only real tall avenue to goal and competing well, with Scully just fading week by week.

Meads been good but it doesn't do much for me. McCullum has been ok but has no skill.

Small forwards all good. 1 mark between our tall forwards and rucks (Lord)

I enjoyed that second quarter. The wind is tricky and some of our guys are over possessing the footy or trying to pick off cute short kicks which are too ambitious. But overall that was some good ground level contest work and crumbing.

Good performances by Mead who is putting in an AFL type ball-winning effort today, Burgoyne who looks at home on a wing, Evans, Fantasia, McCallum.
