Stats can be deceiving too. From the above AFC West looks pretty average, but it's quite a competitive division. Albeit with one (perennial) dog
This is true. At one point, the Jets and Bills were tied at 0-0. One could conclude that the Jets were in with a chance of winning. :D

Not if they had seen them play recently

Bill Barnwell wrote last week about his Monte Carlo simulation of what happens in the NFC South.

http://grantland.com/the-triangle/nfc-south-falcons-saints-panthers-bucs-disaster/

Football outsiders does this every week to get a probably more accurate simulation. Except they've recently moved it in partnership with ESPN to ESPN Insider article. http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/stor...bowl-favorites-latest-playoff-projections-nfl

For the record, they have NO with 6.8 mean wins and a 57.2% chance of playoffs (Atlanta at 28.6 and Carolina at 14.0). They also have in 63% of simulations the NFC South winner has a losing record, and in 15.9% of simulations, the winner goes 6-9-1 or worse. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/dvoa-ratings/2014/week-12-dvoa-ratings

Amazing considering how he was viewed only a couple of years ago.

I find it amazing they are ditching him when the replacements aren't much chop and how much of a rabble the whole Washington organization is.

My thoughts exactly.

Surely you'd hold onto him, get him fit, tell him to pull his head in, sort out his throwing action and try one more time to move forward with him.

As you said, the organization seems to be a bit of a rabble.

His action was fine a few years ago, now he throws off a weak base and off balance

Presumably because of his injuries.

Well done Washington, you threw away 3 firsts for a bloke and played him into the ground

and a second rounder!

The RG3 could quite possibly be the modern day hershel walker trade. The starters the rams have gotten from that deal is ridiculous

Rams still lack a QB, though. Bill Barnwell has written an article for Grantland suggesting that they could be a suitor for RGIII should Washington cut bait with him.

But why would you want RG3. Its a waste of money and draft picks. Rg3 is not who he used to be in his rookie season. If anything he will be a hindrance to the locker room

I don't think he has the required make up to be a pocket passer in the NFL. As fun as it is to watch scrambling QBs, there's a reason why they don't last in the NFL and your traditional type QBs are the best in the business. Take Rodgers for example. We all know he can run but he does so sparingly and only when required. RGME has never shown that ability especially when the Redskins installed the Read-Option.

The NFL is the NFL and college football is college football. NFL Defences are full of professionals who know how to shut down or kill plays. That's why a lot of the plays don't translate to the NFL.

If Washington rid themselves of RGIII, someone will take a look at his tape as a rookie and think that they can recapture the magic. At the very least he'll sit as a backup in the NFL for a team and be a reclamation project for a QB whisperer.

Straight to the Jets

Hence why I have a bad feeling about johnny manziel. Apparently the GM and the head coach weren't that keen on manziel. But the owner loved him very muchm so much so that it made them draft manziel.
