Massive hit from Victorino. Epic grand slam.

Bases shouldn't even have been loaded, the Tiges gave up a double play opportunity at the earlier AB. Poor defense. Has cost them big time now.

Congratulations Red Sox. Unbelievable transformation from one year to the next, would have to be one of the greatest.

They've been the best AL team all year, so it should be a terrific World Series.

Congratulations to the Red Sox, they played the better baseball from the 8th innings of game 2 onwards.

Leyland pulling Smyly too early again then watched their season end with one Victorino swing.

Tigers must trade for a better bull pen, it just doesn't hold up in playoff baseball.

Well done Red Sox - amazing turnaround from last year continues. Detroit on the other hand - they are always close but not close enough.

From an outsider's perspective, it is a really interesting WS - genuine chances for both teams. Cards recent history might have them favourites - yeah, they really are missing Albert Pujols now aren't they?

So the world series starts on Wednesday night (US time) in Boston.

First time in a few years that the AL side has had the home advantage, reckon it might play a part here too.

Would love it to get back to Boston for at least a game 6, if not 7 games.:)

Cards will cruise home. It's been a good post season. I've really enjoyed it all despite Detroit's abysmal batting.

Good luck to Boston and St Louis.... the best teams in their respective league all year
