I wonder how Tex is coming along. It's been a while since we had an update from the club.

Im sure he's fine. Jono Griffin played Wafl over the weekend and did his at a similar time. Clay Smith another victim did his halfway through the year and is already back playing in VFL practice matches.

Just taking every precaution possible. Would be expecting him to line up in the SANFL in round 4 imo.

Funny you say, had a listen to what's on fiveAA today and they read some info from a source or something (missed the start) to watch this space regarding Tex to possibly play a half in our SANFL trial this week..

I like Douglas's chances of returning for the Showdown, it will be confidence thing as opposed to not being available.

I know this not from an ordinary doctor or surgeon as well, but from a specialist.

Im presuming given the nature of Douglas's injury he will probably be wearing a ball guard, similar to the ones used in martial arts for the rest of the season, not the ones for cricket.

The ones in Taekwondo are very comfortable and it does give you confidence because there is peace of mind that you can take an errant kick again.

Forget Doc Larkin. I called this first lol. Club is contacting the Cricket Australia about ball guards according to Doc Larkin.

His "junk" will look big in the shorts. Esp if they are tight. lol.

With that said, I wouldnt say GWS or the Bullies are soft teams anymore in reality.

Hendo placed onto the LTI list. Even though I knew this was coming it still depressed me reading this, my poor ricky

Video on the website speaking to Otten, reckon 'realistically' he is a couple more weeks away. From this would say he would played SANFL round 5 if all goes well, but probably round 5 and maybe make a return to the side round 6...?

Geez how in FFS can we judge Sando when as a Club we have bizarre and unusual injuries.

Maybe we need to get through the next 10 or so weeks (with as many wins as possible) and reboot after that and come home with a wet sail with almost all players available and primed for a finals assault.

Still says 4-8 weeks away but I doubt itll be that long. He's been in full training for weeks and from all reports is the focal point of our forward drills (which is an issue in itself). Coupled with the extra sessions hes been doing and I think itll be 4 weeks tops.

My guess is that the club will announce him at the very last minute to dull the mass hysteria itll create. My guess too from a marketing POV it would be good for him to come back in a 'low drawing' game.
