Apparently we're front runners to land Higgins from WB along with Geelong. Have to admit I don't know enough about him though. Where would we play him? Who would he be an 'upgrade' on?

Like higgins versatility, can play half forward, back or mid which is appealing and has good skills.

Of the free agents remaining he is one worth pursuing imo

half forward who doesn't really have an impact on the scoreboard. Midfielder who can't consistently get over 20 possessions a game. Half back that has limited defensive side.

No thanks. His skills are overrated, go back and watch his game against us he turns it over way too often. Even most bulldogs supporters would agree his "sublime skills" can be very hit and miss.

yeah we all saw how hard this bloke was only a fortnight ago, you'd really want his toughness in finals.

We've got plenty of 'Tough' players, no doubt he is soft. Every team needs its outside players though.

The way I look at Higgins is, right now he's easily better than 5 to 10 blokes on our list.

He'll cost us no players through trade and no draft picks. He'll only cost us $'s only so if the price is right I'd be happy to have him.

Makes it even more surprising that they could franklin in….tippett is on 650k, mitchell 500k, mcveigh, hannerbury and jack must be all on solid deals i honestly can't understand how they aren't over the salary cap

On another note, just read that Melbourne are looking at delisting a few players. One was Sam Blease. What are people's thoughts on him? I am just thinking of outside run/pace. I will admit to not knowing a lot about him

No thanks, one way runner who sprays the footy when under any sort of pressure. Has pace but very rarely finds the space to use it. Can't see him being de-melbournised.

Higgins always looked like a plyer with potential. He's 26 and is still at that level.

Not against having him, but it does seem a rather large financial investment for a bloke who would be a depth/fringe player.
