Any who watch have the good, the bad, the ugly in terms of our players?
Good:
McCartin and Stoddart look the goods. Fox played well. Allir took it on and intercepted well, got caught a few times but looked good. Naismith and Sinclair both played well so that's a good for the team. Rohan chased hard up forward and some headaches. Lloyd, Hewett my standouts.
No injuries. Senior guys got a run, the usual suspects just do what they usually do, eg Joey, Parker etc.
Bad: Foote, Rose, Marsh and Cunningham
Ugly:
Game plan looks to not have changed.
Rusty skill wise but it's the first hit out

All in all a great hit out against a pretty solid GWS team.

Quick thoughts.

Game only went for 3qtrs (2x30 mins 1half, 37 min 3q - power out, so no lights/4q).
We had a decent breeze 1 & 3 qtrs.
Very much a preseason game, both teams rusty and a fairly uninspiring contest skills wise, although both teams had a dip.

Aliir & Melican starting talls down back (with Rampe), Franklin & Reid up fwd, Naismith rucked throughout, with minimal chop out from Sinclair (who was probably our most dangerous when fwd).

No discernible change in game plan/style and very little positional change other than Cunningham back (although he did manage 2/3 shots at goal) and Papley spending even more time on ball.

Cameron, O'Riordan, Ronke & Stoddardt dnp 1st half.
Franklin & Florent sat out 3qtr and limited 2nd half minutes for a few others.

No standouts for me and none of the perceived 'bottom six'/fringe players did enough to suggest a move up the rankings.
Aliir looked occasionally very handy, but decision making is still iffy.
Robinson & Fox had their (good) moments, Cunningham was fine down back, but not really tested one on one.
IMO Rose still has some AFL calibre attributes, but never shows enough to take that step up.
Newman may make 22 as a swingman/flanker, but not sure he's there if we have full list. Marsh down back, not really in the game.Foote struggled.

Of the draftees McCartin had reasonable game time and didn't look lost, whilst Stoddardt didn't come on until halfway through the 3rd, but showed good run, enthusiasm and commitment.

Far from a great game, but good to see the Swans back out there.

Annoying that we have no update on Dawson , is he still on the list?

What’s the go with jones?

Good to hear mills say that there have been a lot on the track this pre season compared to last

Jones is meant to play in the JLT but haven't heard a thing about Dawson all preseason.

grimlock ??
