Good luck to him. Think he’ll be well suited playing with Esava and Allir
Yep I think he'll do well at Port and will be checking out some of their games next year.

Shame he couldn't stay here and play with McKay but he probably felt he would be behind Laverde and there's also Reid and Cox in the shadows.

As long as we've got enough points to match when Koby comes through, all good. We probably need to start saving now because we'll need somewhere in the order of 150000 points.
Is this an example of a sentence that is grammatically correct, but bereft of meaning? Or am I just too ignorant? It's the latter, isn't it?

Father-son, Koby Bewick.

The rich-man's hybrid of Harley Reid, Dustin Martin and Nick Daicos.

Rich man you say? Well, don't hold back on the canapes, and let's rip open another female Sturgeon for the roe!
Also, would you mind blowing up that sacred site, my coal mine isn't going to build itself with all these elites protesting!

Word from AFL house is they plan change the father/son rules for that year so that we can’t access Koby.

Apparently we were responsible for the blackest day in Australian sport…

He will do well at Port if they play him as the second tall defenders. His only crap games for us where against brutes and GWS when the midfield did not turn up .

I don't know where the three fit into the same backline tbh
It will be interesting to see how they line up. Heres one example from their board. Looks a good side to me ready to challenge.

F: Lord - Dixon - Rioli
HF: SPP - Marshall - Horne-Francis
C: Bergman - Wines - Jones
HB: Farrell - Aliir - Houston
B: Zerk-Thatcher - Ratugolea - Williams
R: Soldo - Butters - Rozee
INT: Drew - Boak - Finlayson - Burton
EMERG: Byrne-Jones (SUB) - Georgiades - Sweet - McKenzie

As I understand, he is a good kid and I wish him all the best. It's nothing personal but I am glad to see the back of him. He's too limited for AFL.

How Port plans to make this work is interesting.

Allir is primarily an intercept player / modern zoning CHB. That's what Esava projects to be, too. There is no sign Esava was tracking to stand an opponent's best forwards.

The modern CHB / zoning intercept player is also BZT's best role. As even his supporters acknowledge, he's best on the number 2 forward, what ever that is supposed to be. That number 2 better not be a monster second ruck type and he'd better not be quick either because neither of those suit BZT. We know this because regardless of whether you believe we really wanted to keep BZT, Ridley often took the number 1 when he was fit and then we went and signed McKay.

In reality no one needs a specialist number 2 defender who is slow. He's a 7th year player by age, drafted as a 19 yo in 2017. It's almost a fallacy to suggest that he is going to fill out / significantly build his physical capacity. He has played a lot of footy in his time, rarely injured and no significant layoff comes to mind. At this age, he is what he is.

The weird thing is that at a technical level BZT may be the best 1v1 defender Port has. It's not that he doesn't know how to defend, his issue is purely a matter of his physical limitations.

So I suspect BZT becomes the fodder at full back with Esava and Aliir being charged with not letting opponents get away from him.

Its probably okay against bigger, slower forward lines. How it is supposed to work against more mobile set ups, I have no idea.

This is either going to work spectacularly or fail spectacularly and, unusually, I don't see much of a middle ground.

Honestly, we can beat that side.
