Traded #42: Adam Saad - Traded to Carlton for pick 8 (with some junk picks)

Hmmm not a fan of jumping to the conclusion of racial abuse. Could be a million other reasons he’s upset.

Primary one would be the side is down by 800 points and he’s the only one that looks like he cares.

Today was truly magical watching Smurphy leave the game in a manner fitting of his career; a severe thumping taken obediently with barely a whimper heard.
Sad Saad was the cherry on top. The moping, thoroughly demoralised, forlorn figure he cut today precisely embodies the manifestation of the unaccountable and selfish mindset that has mired Carlton at the very bottom of the football landscape for two decades.
It truly warms my heart.

Losing Adam was frustrating and it was a bit of a dick move on his part the way he went about it, but if he has hurt himself or has been racially abused then everyone recycling the same joke over and over again about his choices are no better than injury or race trolls imo...
While I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiments, it’s not nearly as funny as him crying because he’s currently in Carlton colours.

Let’s hold off on the talk about being vilified until it’s proven to exist (in this particular instant).

I don't wish him any grief. I thought his move and the reasons he gave were ridiculous, however that was his choice to leave, and his feelings why.

Daniher on the other hand the selfish scrub.

Funny. The players had opposite reactions to the pair when we played each this year.

They would because they didn't play a part in Danihers off field financial and rehabilitation.
Where as Saad bagged them out.

One rewarded us with on field play, and the other took big money and substantial long term assistance for little to no return then left.

So you think none of it was the clubs fault with Daniher?

Honestly, I find it baffling how anyone could have ill will towards the guy who we ****ed up with and left to chase a flag to a team that actually bumped up their offer to allow us first round compensation, yet forgive the guy who went to an arch rival for money and badmouthed us on the way out.

He's making 600k a year playing football coming from a migrant family, I don't think he'd be that visibly distraught playing for Carlton.

The fact that he’s paid several hundred thousand dollars a year, and will thus likely be fine for the rest of his life means I have no qualms in saying the following:

I hope his football career amounts to nothing but failure, culminating in his idiotic choice to go play for the worst run club in the AFL. Deserves every (football based) misfortune fate can muster.

Go * yourself Saad. 🖕🖕🖕

No i don't think we f****d Daniher up. We gave him worldwide help, and acted from specialist opinions during that time.
Saad didn't say much more than he didn't want to defend, and his teamates were bad mouthing each other on the field. I can get over that.
Brisbane i dont have an issue with either.
But Daniher is ungrateful. What he did was much worse.

I AGREE WITH AN ETH POST!

He gets 'several' hundreds of thousand for like 5 years or so, and loses half of it to tax.

On 600k per year, you lose 250k per year to the tax office.

Good money, and you should be retiring from the game in your early 30's with your house paid up, and maybe an investment property as well if you're frugal (and Adam isnt exactly the 'piss my money away on coke and hookers' type of dude).

My question to those trolling him is:

How do you even know he was upset because of Carlton's form? How many times has he played in a bad loss? How many times has he cried on the bench? You don't know what he's going through. Did you guys never reach a breaking point where something small was the last straw? I can't believe I even need to say this. Saad has never shown frustration or lost his cool in a game. The fact that he was that distraught tells me something is going on.

People wonder why a lot of men have trouble showing emotion and talking about problems. It's because it's mostly trivialised into something like "he plays for Carlton our rival lol what a cry baby."

He has idiot Essendon supporters abusing him on social media right now for something so dumb.
