Berisha :drunk:

No complaints about the red card. Red card every day of the week. Heart keeper milked it for all it was worth though, but you can't go in with your studs in the air like that. Could have easily taken out the keepers face with that.

Good luck to Victory. Your going to need it. Fabulous player when he's on, but very temperamental and prone to brain fades, ala tonight.

ffs go watch the video. He tries to flick the ball over the keeper but his heel hits the top of the ball and the boot bounces up. No Malice in it at all.. just an accident.

Agree, Horrible decision from Chris Beath. Besart to front up against WSW next week

:D

I had to go for the Roar tonight and anyone else playing Heart in the hope we don't collect our first ever wooden spoon. Not that we'll pick up points between now and the end of the season.

After he tries to flick the ball his studs go to face up. Accident or not, its still justifiable as use of excessive force in a tackle when he connects with a keepers face after originally lunging in like that. As soon as a player lunges for the ball like that, he is responsible for his own actions. There isn't any intent by Berisha to injure the the player and its unfortunate, but the red card is justifiable and it won't be overturned.

It was just unlucky if he gets there a fraction quicker he scores.

Thats the thing though, he didnt. Tough red card but it was there IMO. The carry on afterwards was again cringeworthy

TANDO Velaphi was sporting a couple of a couple of scars from the studs of the left boot of Besart Berisha’s left boot on Saturday.

But the Melbourne Heart goalkeeper believes there was no malicious intent on the part of Berisha in the incident that saw the Brisbane Roar striker sent off on Friday night.

“It was just one of those things in the game — a couple of players going at the ball,” Velaphi said.

“The referee sees what he sees and the rest is history I suppose.

“Bes is quite a tenacious player and wants to score goals. But it’s part of the game.

“I didn’t feel too threatened or anything like that. I could see what he was trying to do and so I just tried to get on with things.”
