For $450k a season he'd drive Betts to the airport and that he wouldn't kick 50 goals a year without Tex alongside him.

Ridiculous.

Betts is a star.

I heard he's on a bit more than 450k but he's worth it. Would be our 2nd best player (Gibbs, Betts/Judd) right now and I daresay if we could have predicted Jeffys troubles and need to have a fresh start we would have offered his worth in the hope he resisted the lures of going home.

edit: I know you're not saying that - it's ridiculous of Derm to suggest it

I snoozed in and out but I thought West Coast's defence was really good considering no E Mackenzie and Brown. Carlton being really s**t also helped.

McGov is a player of the future. Yeo and Hurn are up against it but they compete well enough. Might not be enough against top sides but they will a fair few games with that defence - Schofield and Bennell didn't have their best games but they aren't spuds (anymore) either.

Does this make the Bulldogs effort last week even more impressive?

Possibly suggests Carlton likely to finish below the Bulldogs. That would be bloody embarrassing given where Carlton were supposed to be heading under Malthouse.

Do the Malthouse press conferences deserve their own Game Day thread?

Levi Casboult, Bryce Gibbs need to hang the boots up

Marc Murphy is just s**t
