Maybe if Lachie Neale focused on winning the hardball instead of floating around in the backline getting 13 useless uncontested marks the lions might have won.
Three things. A 2nd string ruckman who, 8 times out of 10, taps it straight to the other team. Pops Fagan gets out-coached about 4 times a year. Don't have a proper captain who understands leadership.

Lions aren’t that bad on the road actually I love this old chestnut
1 win from their last 13 attempts at the MCG.

The chestnut is reality.

This will be like Hodge and Lewis. He's temporarily the enemy but Brown and Gold is in his veins once he retires. No offence to the Lions.
Don’t worry he only came to the Lions to hopefully play in a premiership but so far he is getting carried it’s about time he started to do some of the heavy lifting

what's that got to do with Neale doing nothing other than get cheap uncontested marks in the d50?

meaning each of those three things have a lot more to do with the Lions playing way below their potential particularly away than Neale having a bad game.
