Eyes glued to the Bombers vs Suns tomorrow?
Suns have a midfield containing Miller, Rowell, Anderson and Swallow.
Casboult and King up forward. Talent all over the ground. Our mf will need to improve 100%

Eyes glued to the Bombers vs Suns tomorrow?
Know how you feel. We are nowhere near good consistent form, and GC away is always a challenge.I hope I'm wrong Pure, I really am... but I honestly think Suns will beat us next week
I hope I'm wrong dubs, I love the Cats, but I'm concerned. I do think the Suns will beat us...Know how you feel. We are nowhere near good consistent form, and GC away is always a challenge.

The way we are playing I am concerned and it's only from after the Carlton game
I hope so Pure... I really do, but I have my doubtsGold coasts defence and their wing roles were awful today. We should win this

And Hawkins equal 4th for someone with no preseason and a sore calf.
Listened to a snippet from Sam Edmund that confirmed Carlton had this charge thrown out at the Tribunal the other night. Supposedly they argued that his action wasn't 'careless'.Heartening to see some action being taken by the MRO against TDK for his classless knee to Stanley's midriff.
While a $2,000 fine is hardly going to dent his holiday fund, it does at least show that the AFL is paying some attention to the issue of defenceless players being targeted by sniping behaviour. Hope Tom learns a lesson about playing the ball and not the man in the future.
Besides i'm also hanging my hat on years like 1980 and 1992.....0-2 starts which ultimately saw Geelong top the table at year's end. To be frank....the only other years we've been 0-2 since 1980 have been 1986 (shithouse side), 1990 (Hawks and Dees previous years finalists)..and a shizen second half of the year, 2002...(GF Bombers Rd 1 and Crows away Rd 2), 2003 (last genuinely crappy year Geelongs had), 2004 (Saints and Blues), but finished 15-7 and with the double chance. And 2015...The opening two rounds making for Chris Scott's longest losing sequence as coach....4, including the straight sets of the 2014 finals.
So under Scott, the 11-9-1 of 2015 is the most recent incarnation. And given the absolute hot Pies and the closeness of Rd 2, i'm quietly confident the Cats can come back from this and be in contention fairly quickly. This side doesn't like to lose, and i'm sure they'll be looking to fix that.
Great memory GOB.Seeing you mentioned it - and it is the review of the Geel v Carlton game
Round 2 - 1980 Carlton v Geelong at Princess Park - and i was in attendance - Blues were short price faves of course
A few memories - i reckon it was a public holiday Monday - Cats led 7 goals to 2 at qtr time ( but i still knew theyd get beat which they narrowly did )
But the reason they had that lead - Peter Featherby - the Geelong centreman kicked 4 goals in that 1st qtr - and they were absolute ripper goals - all snaps from 35-40 metres out - there was a tricky cross breeze blowing - and he allowed for the breeze perfectly
Ive never seen any player - for any team- who in a crowded situation - who could get the ball onto his boot so quickly and accurately
