The J-pod could have less than 5 touches 2 months in a row and sando will still have something to justify his spotNo it won't. Not now we are in the home straight towards finals.
Can not see J-Pod getting dropped this year. Finals experience will be used to justify his spot.

Probably true. Not really the right time of the year to be experimenting with structure. Pods has earnt his spot I cant really see him playing poorly enough to get dropped but funnier things have happened. No it won't. Not now we are in the home straight towards finals.

If he leaves then he is a sook, which he doesn't appear to be so he wont

Can't believe my boy has copped the axe after we get into the 8
I said it at the start of the year, pods will take games off the development of other players, here we have our second case
It is complete bias at the selection table, lynch plays 2 bad games in a row (not worse than any 2 bad games that pods plays in a row) and gets the axe. It happened with LJ at the start of the year, pods is immune because he has the best mate as his coach
If pods plays a terrible game this week, will he get dropped? Of course not, double standards people
And lynch is now right in the gun to go back to Victoria. It's not that he will sook and ask to be traded, it's that clubs now know he is on the outer, and pods is ahead of him. They'll already be getting their claws into him, lynch will probably head back for a 2-3 year deal. Damian Barrett predicted it earlier in the year, whoever got dropped out of lynch and jenkins in order for pods to stay in, would leave back to Victoria
It's a win-win though, lynch gets to go home, and we get to play pods...
Hopefully he stays, don't want to pick a new favourite

Going by Harper's comments (and Sando's on Monday night on Foxtel), the club don't like the four-tall set-up. So in light of that, why didn't they drop Pods five weeks ago when Lynch was ready to come back? I mean, Lynch deserves to be dropped THIS week marginally more than Pods does (who let's face it, hasn't been that good either, I'd drop him for that ridiculous 45 degree angle, side-on kick alone) but why did they persist with this structure in the first place when they didn't like it? The answer has got to be Sando can't drop his mate, Pods.

I think it's more they don't like it once they've seen it in action.
The club knows Lynch is the more important player long term, however he is in woeful form, give him a week or two, get some confidence up and then straight swap with Pods.
He's been better than his raw stats suggest...I love him.The J-pod could have less than 5 touches 2 months in a row and sando will still have something to justify his spot
Later in the season? It is round 19 mate...
"Barely used" will be the key selling point when we try to trade him in OctoberMy only concern is Jarryd Lyons, if he is the emergency he will get a full game against the WWT Eagles. Sando can't let that happen so I suspect that Thommo or Danger will be a late out and Jarryd will get 15 minutes in the last quarter on the half forward flank.
Unbelievable. Yeah another conspiracy theory...
It's hardly been a fail. Apparently we are the 2nd highest scoring side in the last 5 or 6 weeks (which was predominant with that structure). And we're the 4th highest scoring team for the whole season (the first half was with 3 talls).
Either way we've been getting stronger and stronger and clearly that structure has been pretty effective.
I don't think they'd ideally want 4 talls (3.5 talls), but because they all have glaring weaknesses we have needed the 4 tall cover their weaknesses ie:
- Jenkins & Lynch are not great contested marks
- Lynch is undersized (as a tall)
Pods being a good contested mark has helped make up for it. I worry Jenkins might suffer a bit when expected to be the 2nd best marking option. Currently Pods allows Jenkins to play to his strengths (on the move, ground level, link up play).
That doesn't even make sense as our percentage is 109, but I'm sure it sounded smart in your head. Please don't go into coaching, it really wouldn't be a good career choice. It doesn't matter if we kick 30 goals a week, if our opponents kick 32 goals.
The top heavy structure we go with exposes us in the midfield, it's why good teams slaughter us on the outside, and we frequently get hammered on the rebound.
