Thommo begins the season in the team and gets phased out later to let Grigg, Matt Crouch more midfield time.

Kelly is a bit of an odd selection down back but I thought that his form in recent weeks in the SANFL has been outstanding so I would give him a go specially without Otten.

Yep - give him another 50-60 games and he should slot nicely into the Reilly mk2 slot.

Important Depth: Grigg, Lyons (replace Thommo towards the end), Podsiadly (in case one of the forwards goes down), Laird, New Ruck (a back-up player who we don't have on the list right now).

Thought about Martin but I don't think he's better than Grigg, Lyons, Kerridge, M. Crouch and others through the middle. Could be useful depth for a Douglas-type player.

Would have liked to see Laird in defence, but I feel that he and Van Berlo are competing for a spot in the back half. Can't play three small defenders and only two people capable of matching up on talls, so I put Goldsack (let's get him) in there as the third tall. Henderson isn't a suitable match-up for a third forward.

providing we want Smith to move into the midfield. Bit like robbing Peter to pay Paul isn't it?
He has been very good this year, if we move him to the midfield, Hendo (who I have been turned off somewhat) or someone else has to make up his numbers there or we will all complain

Hes had 2 serious surgeries since he last played in round 20 last year. It's not so easy to get top form straight away after that.
