Howard and Costello's wanton waste of an economic boomtime has been obvious for years now.

Doesn't help that the Rudd/Gillard governments were a fiscal rabble.

Howard and Costello didn't waste the boom. They gave the productive part of the economy tax cuts. The non productive part got nothing.

Clive Palmer says the federal government's budget has crashed and he has challenged Prime Minister Tony Abbott to hold a double dissolution or implement a mini-budget.

They are on the nose with the public, no way would they go for a DD.
They have to negotiate although not sure they know how to do this. Time for negotiation and consultation was before they released policies and budget.
 
Clive Palmer is enjoying a few free punches at Abbott and Hockey, knowing full well they won't call and also knowing that they can't really argue with him because firstly he's right and secondly (and more importantly) it will help expose just how crap the budget was in the first place.

Still stand by the fact that it is the worst budget in 40 years.
 
Hockey has been threatening it but he's like a wanna be tough, you don't threaten to belt someone if you're really going to, you just do it
Abbott's the one who throws punches, Hockey just takes them.
