Anyone know of good live venues in Canberra?

There aren't any good live football venues in Canberra.

I haven't lived there since the Optus deal came into effect, so I'm guessing - but I suspect the casino is going to be your best chance of finding live games, followed by Magpies Club in the city or the Ainslie Footy Club or something like that. Maybe one of the Irish themed pubs like King O'Malleys in Garema Place.

Am I missing something? I know UCL started this week, but why the small number of Saturday games, and not having the North London Derby as a standalone game?

There are certain timeslots the police don't like NLD's being scheduled for safety reasons.
It is rarely a late game as that encourages extra hours of alcohol consumption before kick off.

Belco Soccer Club in Mackellar should be packed?

There's a sports bar in the city now - Bleachers I think it's called, that has wall to wall screens, could be some people there? There's always the various Labor clubs, again Belconnen probably best.

Dont think Magpies exists anymore.

Great half from us, feel it should maybe have been 1 or 2 more.

Ref needs to get a grip on some of these tackles, only a matter of time before one of them ends in a serious injury and half the time he's not even giving a free let alone a booking.

Feel Forest have a goal in them, so a nice early one for us would be good for the nerves.

Brilliant first half, tough battling performance second half. Didn't enjoy it, but it was great from our guys. Thought Forest played really well against 10 men until the last 10 minutes and we got a bit of control back.

Nunes really important, and Ederson with a great save at the end.

Not sure what was up with Walker but he got burned for pace a couple of times, don't see that often.

Not many positives to Rodri missing 3 (Wolves away, Arsenal away, Brighton home), only one is that he's needed a good rest for 18 months.

Phillips tried hard but is no Rodri. Wouldn't even shock me if he still doesn't get a start.
