We're a better team than Geelong but we never play well down there. Geelong could be bottom 4 and we'd still struggle.

Yes. They're on the same points as the Dogs but the Dogs have strong %.

Actually you want to go for North because they play Richmond next week. So if North beat the Bulldogs then we are guaranteed a home final if we win our next 2 games.

So now we need either Essendon or North to beat Richmond, or Brisbane to beat the Bulldogs.
If we finish 6/7 we would have to play the loser of Hawthorn v West Coast but if we finish 8th we would have to play the Bulldogs first up. Maybe we hope for 6th and for the Dogs to push Sydney out of the top 4.
So we are hoping for a Essendon win tonight?
Pity we can't piggy back Port into a home final.
Yeah if they lose this and the North match next week we can get 6th with just a win against Geelong according to my ladder predictor.
EDIT: This is wrong but we can avoid the Dogs whilst only winning one game if Essendon win tonight.

I want to play footscray. They had a hard Sunday loss in Perth, before being pushed at the notoriously leg tiring docklands six days later. Now their off to the heat in Brisbane.
They rely on their run, they have no structure to fall back on.
Feels likes things are falling into place.
Hopefully a 4 quarter effort against West Coast.

The situation now is, win both our games, and hope Richmond either lose tonight to Essendon, or that North can knock off the Tigers next week. This would give us a home final against either North or the Tigers. And we'd be favourite to beat either of them.
Of course, winning both of our remaining games is still extremely unlikely.

I would not put it past the afl to do everything it can to make the dogs a feel good story of the finals, which means an Etihad final could very well be a reality, even if an mcg game would result in a higher crowd. We got absolutely spanked last time and even today they rattled off a 7 goal last quarter, if it's Etihad I can see them doing some damage! Away from Etihad they are not as good however. Will be interesting to see what the afl does if we do end up having to play them
