Well, that was a carbon copy of our first handful of games:

• Midfield got absolutely smashed.
• Ball movement from back 50 to forward 50 was slow and indecisive.
• Poor skills all around.
• Players cruising around with a lack of intent and effort.

A number of players need to be dropped to Peel. We also missed Darcy dearly.

Also this team gets in their heads way too much. Easy kill in Hawthorn and they play like the best team in the league for the next month. Bye comes in + close loss to the tigers in the wet and they lose everything they built.

Everything else. Darcy out obviously hurts but there's no excuse for that midfield performance.
Finals will be incredibly tough/impossible to make now with this percentage hit. Will need a 2006 like run to have a sniff

There's no way this is on the coaching. The effort from the players was abysmal. It wasn't coaching issue against Richmond either. That was all unforced turnovers.

Boys got so distracted drinking bathwater after winning 4 games that they forgot there's half a season left.

Tbh I'll be impressed if we manage to cobble together some form again like we did in May. Feels like there are waaaay too many issues with the coach/side in general that seem to be consistently exploited. It's not even the very good teams taking advantage like last year. 14th just gave us a bath.

At least we get back to that familiar comfort zone of having * all expectations.
