Roma, who have been fairly ordinary so far this season, produced a ripper this morning. I couldnt beleive it watching this game, after seeing them stumble and trip through this season so far. Totti was simply inspired, Roma dominated the first half an hour before finally scoring, Aldair's starting role raised eyebrows, but he had a fantastic game.

Perhaps with this win they will turn the corner, 5 days after being extremely lucky to escape with one point in the Rome derby.

Real Merda tried to get on back the rest of the game, but Roma showed a fantastic defense with some excellent counter attacks and really, always looked like winning this game. The unfashionable Roma looked very complete against one of Europes true giants. The more I see of Real, the more I think they are very Zidane dependant. He is the heart of this team, Raul and Figo somewhat overrated IMO, and Ronaldo needs more time to get right. Roma seemed to concentrate heavily on Zidane, and Real struggled throughout.

Liverpool will be praying Spartak beat Basle in their moved fixture next week. Either way, Liverpool are going to have to grab at least a draw away in the final round in two weeks.

Real through but havnt been convincing this season (both CL and La Liga), and the Greeks have a tough task in beating a rejuvinated Roma away to qualify.

This groups as tight as a nuns ****, with Inter, Ajax and Lyon all needing wins to guarantee qualifcation, and draws are going to make things messy.

Two weeks ago, alot of people were predicting Real Madrid v Arsenal was the most likely going to be the battle of Europe. Alot has changed in two weeks. Both teams have suffered a number of defeats and dissapointing results. It just goes to show that no one is invincible and that football is a funny game.
