He will be cleared tonight.

However the AFL MRO will convene a special review of Wk 18 on Wednesday and cite him them for 2 weeks.

Fine at worst unless the MRO / AFL decides this week that it needs to stamp out innocuous hits arising from frustration, even if the victim engaged in staging
You should know by now that when it comes to violence (verbal or physical) it's always the one who retaliates that gets the blame, not the one who provokes it.

Big blow for idiotic conspiracy theorists there.
Can't blame the so called conspiracy theorists given how Hawkins has been treated in the past. Not saying he hasn't deserved suspensions, but when others get off for similar indiscretions it makes you wonder if the AFL enjoyed singling Tom out..... not anymore

Remember joel hit behind play im Adel-nothing. If Tom even gets a fine its laughable but getting serious how the AFL persecuted him.

Meanwhile Vince claims Danger stages.

The news is better for Geelong spearhead Tom Hawkins and West Coast captain Shannon Hurn who have both been cleared by Michael Christian for incidents involving Melbourne’s Bailey Fritsch and the Bulldogs’ Mitch Honeychurch respectively..

Christian said Hawkins made contact to Fritsch with an open hand in a pushing motion to the chest area, with incidental high contact made at the time.
