I hear what you are saying but have to wonder how would umps interpret selwood's attitude towards them

Selwood has a history of polling well. I don't see that changing. If anything he will be more likely to pick up extra votes he doesn't deserve after coming so close last year.

Likewise if Lewis only polls 10-15 votes expect him to poll much better in 2015 even if his season is just as good as this one.
