B - Deledio, Carrazzo, Duffield, Hargrave, Golby, B Ellis, Darley (M Clarke, Bugg)

M - Pendlebury, Boyd, Ablett, A Swallow, Hayes, Coniglio (McDonald, Neale)

R - McIntosh, Giles (Stephensen, Rowe)

F - Franklin, Goodes, Zaharakis, S Sidebottom, Saad, S Johnson, Treloar (A Hall, Sexton)

Any suggestions on the above?
Looks pretty good, not a fan of Mcintosh but he could be worth it, I would think about adding another defender premium

Heres mine

Back - Goddard, Shaw, Deledio, Birchall, Hargrave, Darley, Morris(Bugg, L.Brown)

Mid - Swan, Ablett, Selwood, Boyd, Lucas, Clifton(McDonald, Magner)

Ruck - Sandilands, Giles(Stephenson, Redden)

Forward - Franklin, Goodes, Fyfe, Martin, Christensen, Zorko, Hampton(Treloar, A.Hall)

Cant figure out why people dont want to choose Sandilands, performed great last year when he was playing and I dont see why he wont continue on with that form

$68,700 left

Great structured team. One of the better ones I've seen on here. Just have to nail the rookies come round 1.

Is this not the best team you have seen yet???

Backs: Goddard, Deledio, Birchall, Heppell, Burgoyne, Ellis, Smedts - Bugg, Darley

Midfielders: Pendlebury, Ablett, Masten, Coniglio, Wingard, Magner - Shiel, Treloar

Rucks: Cox, Sandilands - Giles, Rowe

Forwards: Franklin, Pavlich, Martin, Lewis, Sidebottom, Dangerfield, Smith -Kerridge, Hall

I have questions over those highlighted in RED.

Burgoyne and Birchall are they worthy? I do have 20 G to play with. Treloar and Shiel are both subject to injury. Will they be right?

LOVE the fwd line....Dangerfield is a goodin. Will try and squeeze him in mine too if i can. Pavlich or Goodes???? Not sure if the Pav is past his best. I have a feeling he may play deep fwd a bit this year.

Rucks you cant go wrong there...

Birchall and burgoyne will be out in the bye rounds remember. so maybe swap burgoyne with someone else.

shiel- injured i believe, Trelour looks ok

All in all, very solid team

I like watching Dangerfield as a player, but for DT I just think he way too much of a kamakazi. So, I reckon he is a pretty good bet to miss games through injury.

Played 22 games last year, 19 and 21 the years before.. seems pretty durable to me

Really? I thought it was last year, but must have been the year before him running back with the ball head down and getting cleaned up and missing games. Like I said, you have to love the way he plays the game.

Hey guys, would love your thoughts on my current lineup. Is there any news I've missed or glaring errors.

B - Goddard, Lids, birchall, Waters, Grimes, hargrave, Ellis (mohr, Baguley)
M - pendles, Ablett, murphy, selwood, McDonald, magner (Sheil, Neale)
R - Macintosh, Giles (Redden, Stephensen)
F - Franklin, pav, fyfe, side bottom, Martin, winderlich, Porps (treloar, Weedon)

Final rookies will still be decided on, but what do you guys think?
I think it's a pretty good/risky setup.

Cheers.

Looks decent enough and hey, where would we be without taking a few risks?

This is a good side. Some players I wouldn't pick, but I can definitely see the justification and thinking behind some of them. I would not start Grimes given his recent injury... even though he'll probably be right for round 1. HMac sharing the ruck with goldy may be OK or may not be from a scoring perspective... up for you to decide. Winderlich is a very interesting selection and I wouldn't do it, but if it works then it could be very good for you.

what am i missing with Bugg? Admittedly i havent seen an NAB cup game, but why does everyone have a hard-on for him?

Goddard, Shaw, Deledio, Waters, Grimes, Clarke, Ellis (Mohr, Smedts)

Swan, Ablett, Selwood, Barlow, Shiel, Stevens (Magner, McDonald)

Leuenberger, McIntosh (Giles, Stephensen)

Franklin, Beams, Fyfe, Martin, Porplyzia, Zorko, Treloar (Smith, Walsh)

Remaining Salary Cap: $222,300

Thoughts? Haven't decided on my final rookies yet, also still undecided on a few players such as Clarke, Grimes, Waters and Porplyzia but I do have enough money to trade in someone like Carrazzo and Broughton for Waters and Grimes.

Grimes & Waters are both very risky, especially going in with both. I would upgrade one or both to reliable premiums. Fisher, Heppell & Broughton are all well priced for what they are capable of IMHO.

Def: Goddard, Deledio, Suckling, Heppell, Duffield, Hargreave, Waters. Ellis, Bugg
Mid: Ablett, Thompson, Hayes, Gaff, Congolio, Wingard. Shiels, Magner
Ruck: Leuneberger, Giles. Redden, Stephenson
Fwd: Franklin, Fyfe, Ballantyne, Martin, Dangerfield, Callinan, Smith D. Saad, Dell'Olio

What do you guys think of this team? Any advice appreciated

Thanks for the review Yogi & Zuma.
I put Grimes on my never again list last year but have been sucked in again. The recent injury has me thinking he needs to be ditched again, but he just fits the structure so well.
Winderlich I've had in the back of my mind since last year and you just never know. Choosing the right/wrong injured returners is almost as hit and miss as picking the right rookies, so I'm bucking the trend & going for those midprice risks.
If I get cold feet on one of those guys, I'll probably go for a rookie & upgrade HMac but then I feel liek I lose a bit of that individuality in the team.
Now to look at byes........

Thanks

Goddard Shaw Deledio Broughton Hargrave Clarke Ellis (Darley Spurr)

Pendlebury Boyd Ablett Montagna Coniglio Neale (Macdonald Magner)

McEvoy Giles (Redden Stephensen)

Franklin Goodes Fyfe Martin N.Riewoldt Pfeiffer Smith (Treloar A.Hall)

Haven't really thought about byes to much as yet.
Also thinking of downgrading Montagna and Adding another premium ruck.

Thoughts?

Cheers

"Really?" was just directed at the selection of Kerr. As in, "are you serious?"

I see no upside in Kerr.

I had Hayes in the side initially, then switched to Kerr, Kerr is a class player and I could see him finishing off his hard tackling and impact work with a few goals, if he played all the games, there is huge upside, but huge risk and that is what DT is all about backing in someone.

I like Monty alot but the fact he hasn't played yet this pre-season has me worried about his role under a new coach has me worried.
Also not sold on N.Riewoldt at all and in all honsty I don't think he improve his scoring much at all.

Clarke hasn't really proven himself either.

For the one and only time this pre-season, here is my team.

Goddard, Shaw, Deledio, Duffield, Hargrave, Webberly, Ellis (Bugg, Darley)

Boyd, Ablett, Selwood, Hayes, D. Smith, Sheil (Neale, Magner)

McEvoy, HMac (Giles, O)

Goodes, Fyfe, Martin, Sidebottom, Lewis, Porp, Saad (Treloar, Cameron)

$167,200 in the bank

I know there are 4 players in the backline with a rd.13 bye but by then only 2 would remain!!

Rd. 12 hurts my fwds a little but apart from that I am pretty happy with the balance.
