Collingwood believes they have won the battle to retain Tyson Goldsack despite interest from clubs including Adelaide.

Port Adelaide’s search for a ruckman to complement Matthew Lobbe is likely to centre on Hawthorn one-gamer Luke Lowden.

He kicked three goals in the only game of his career against West Coast but with three quality ruckmen in front of him he is being lured by rivals.

The 204cm out-of-contract 23-year-old has been a great story of perseverance at Hawthorn would seems unlikely to further his career there.

I'd rather Grimley. Won the VFL equivalent of the Coleman apparently.

would seem / seems, they will work it out.

Grimley is under contract so we would have to pay overs for a couple of good vfl games. I like out of contract Lowden. A win is a win. Seriously, McKevoy was rucking for Box Hill! Lowden has to leave for his own sake. He fits our profile, needs and can play. betterfitterandcheaperthanrenouf.

looks like tapscott will be gone as well as Blease and a few others will be a huge cull, also reading other forums they believe trengove is gone too
Looks like Dillon might get his poor mans 'Matt White clone' as he called him to the Crows afterall, I would laugh if they top up with spuds like Blease & Gwilt like has been reported through various media people.

I'd take Trengove at Port if we could get him cheap, not ruling out Newton or Moore for the role but think we need one more class inside mid on our list & if we can't get Greenwood until he becomes a free agent i'd back in Burgo to get Jack fit enough to get close to his potential.

Was happier before I saw this video. I knew he'd kicked 3 goals, I didn't know they were all uncontested Joe the Gooses from the goalsquare :(

He's no superstar but he is trending in the right direction.

Looked physical in a couple of highlights. Yeah the goals weren't from big clunks but he was quick in getting the ball to boot, quick thinking and reacting like a smaller player. Seemed very likeable in his interview. Good clubman type.

Funnily enough Jarrad Redden is even taller than him!

I don't think he is going to take a lot of big marks but he can contest and he can lead. He is a good kick, moves well and is a good touch ruck man. If he was a great pack mark we wouldn't be able to pick him up for a packet of chips.

There was talk of O'Shea going to the Saints, so maybe a straight swap for Rhys Stanley, and then our third rounder to the Hawks for Lowden? Would certainly fill some pretty big voids for next year and seems straight forward and not expensive. I would back Burgo and Ken to get the best out of Stanley and Lowden is just coming to the right age for a ruckman. And we would also keep our early picks.
