Thinking the same. Gibcus gone for 12 months.If we continue with Balta forward, Bauer and Fawcett will play forward when available, Lefau is a forward, we prob need to look at one of our other talls in defence.
They got an exceptional run from the umps which they’ve got this quarter .Humm watching GC now how on earth did they thrash us

Kane McAuliffe (31 disposals, 14 contested possessions, seven inside-50s, six clearances, one goal)
"Had an outstanding game as an inside midfielder and drove the ball inside 50 on a number of occasions. He used the ball well on the day and hit the scoreboard."
Tyler Sonsie (30 disposals, seven marks, six inside-50s, one goal)
"Found a lot of the ball. He probably didn't have his best day from a ball use point of view, but he will be better for the run. It's great to see him back into footy and finding the ball with ease straight away."

"Nick's been building his game over the course of the pre-season, and he's a player that we know has immense talent and is new to an elite pathway. He showed exactly what he can do on the weekend playing on Sam Day, an experienced AFL footballer, and he certainly took the points. "Cam had one of the quieter games that we've seen him play in VFL footy. It's exciting that we were able to hit the scoreboard as heavily as we did without him having a big influence on the game. We know that he will certainly bounce back in the coming weeks."

"Steely had a much bigger impact on the game than the stat sheet suggests. His forward pressure was immense. He could have easily finished with three or four goals. If he continues to stick to his role, I'm sure that the reward for him is just around the corner."

"It's a real learning period for Archie, who was able to hit the scoreboard with a couple of goals. But, he's getting better and better in terms of our system each and every week. Talls take time, and we're extremely excited about what he can do in the future."

Bauer has spent all summer as a backman which is a bit odd cos he, Trezise and Brown are all 'tweeners along with Broad and we could use another marking target up forward.

Naismith, 9 clearances! WTF!! that’s incredible for a 204 cm , 3 knee recos, ruckman
He played well but he was up against a couple of part timers in fairness.

That’s true. But I like him, He kicked a goal on the 50 from memory, and , he’s as honest as the day is long in the ruck. Great guy to have around our young VFL squad
