My years on the wing in country footy were the most exhausting, rewarding and challenging of my entire career. Some weeks you clean up. Others you're lucky to touch it 10 times but you've done more kilometres at pace than the previous week.

Very underrated position that is maligned unfairly and pigeonholed as a 'soft' role.

People underestimate the courage it takes to run when you can't physically run anymore.

Used to s**t me up the wall when people called Hill soft for not being a Luke Hodge in the clinches.

I don't hate these changes. Can't say any are unlucky, assuming Butler is the sub.

Unpopular opinion here, but even Wingard had not provided anything before his injury apart from one awesome goal which is very rare from his Hawthorn time.

Would keep Nash, his presence is point of difference in midfield. Kosi, not so sure, ball delivery in F50 makes it bit hard at times.

I would add Impey to the out list. We need more defenders than just runners who can't defend.

I doubt he's being saved because he's in the leadership group, more for the reasons he's in the leadership group. Sam doesn't strike me as the type of guy who'd continue to pick someone who isn't performing at least part of their role to expectations.
