I WAS WRONG.

St Kilda on track to do a Port Adelaide.

Great stuff.
Not for a few years yet. Riewoldt cant be our crux for that much longer and we need that KPF to replace him.

That said, how the hell do you replace Riewoldt?

You poach someone via Free Agency or Trade, GWS have 3 very good young tall forwards.

Actually that was a bit over-the-top but they'll certainly build from here.

That defense will only improve and they've got a great future midfield mix.

Add a couple of KP in this years draft and they'll do OK.

You can't-what an outstanding champion over so many years and so often in adversity. But if a fraction of his work ethic and approach rubs off on the young guys, it'll be great for your club.

Replacing Riewoldt, difficult.

Finding a duo that is close to the output of Riewoldt-Maister combined, not so difficult...

My point isn't so much that it's easy, but look at what the Cats did when they lost Ablett - Selwood & Johnson took more responsibility on, Christensen/Duncan lifted their output (and now Stokes & Motlop)..it's hard losing a gun player but while it is one large, heavy door shutting, you can have 3 doors opening....

edit: as above, his leadership (especially leading by example) will be invaluable for the young Saints
