Let's do this mob slowly. Not unlike Port. Make them believe and take their belief and shove it up their behinds.

Stuff that, hit them hard and once they're down keep kicking them for the full 120 minutes!

Injury report out from the w/e

Vickery 1-2 (bone bruising)
Conca 4-6 (hammy again :( )
McBean test (thumb)

Newman probably another 1 or 2 away.

We have a total of 9 players out (+McBean needing a test).

Conca  Cannot take a trick.... trade him at season's end. Fresh start for both player and club....

Nah, we'd get no value for him after such a season. If we even put him on the table, other clubs would assume he's got chronic issues and wouldn't go near him unless he's extremely cheap (trade and salary-wise). Better for us to keep him for his upside when fit (or at least as depth).

I would be more worried about how big occasion games have a tendency to turn 22 blokes in Richmond jumpers from football players into a skirt wearing deer in headlights.

I think a few of our recent additions to the best 22 thrive on big games. A few others appear to be playing better in the more important games in the season proper (excluding finals).

On another note, it took us 21 rounds to get into the 8 last year.

Excluding round 1 it took us 8 this year. Things are looking up, 16-0, and 3-0 to come.

May never happen again. Let him play once back from the hammy, get a few cheapies and off-load him. Swap him and a third rounder for Scott Selwood

All sorts of things may or may not happen. I dare say the docs will have a decent idea of how likely recurrence will be. I'd guess he'll be at the longer end for recovery this time if there is any reason to expect he blew out the same injury though.

Who and huh?

Hunt and McIntosh. Big games this year have been Carlton, Collingwood and Port Adelaide. Deledio, Riewoldt and Maric seem to be playing the big games quite well. Of course we won those games

It will be interesting to see if this theory holds true.

How many hammy issues is that in his time at RFC? Fair bit of scar tissue building up I suspect.... Won't get easier for him. I suggested trading him before he was injured and I'm happy to stay with that opinion....

Will be handy if Zaharakis is still out. I expect our midfield to be on top, however they're pretty solid across the park. Reckon we will win with the form we're carrying.

Well Saturday will be a big test and hopefully nothing like last year.

Yeah I'm not a big Conca fan but we'd get bent over in a trade and probably better off keeping for now.

You could imagine West Coast asking and promising something good, then get Conca agreeing to go back to WA, then suddenly the good offer turns to a third round pick and the player wants to go.

Unable to see how the Bombers will kick a winning score.

The Brisbane bears backline is really undersized and ordinary.
If their forwards think it will be that easy again then they're going to be very upset. Our backline killed it last weekend and will be full of confidence.

In Perth for this one; anyone got suggestions for a pub (other than the Odin) where, if I ask very nicely, there's a good chance they'll show the game with sound? (Factoring in that pubs will give priority to the Freo game on at the same time.) Any suggestions much appreciated.
Upstairs Brass Monkey might, depends if you want something central or not
Casino will but no sound

Edit: nvm saw your second post, good stuff :)
