Collingwood's bank balance says hello.
So why do they need a petty $50k?
And when they poach someone to replace Eade, will they pass the compensation on?

They're running a business. If you ran a business, would you forgo 50K if you were entitled to it?
I would expect the Pies to do the same thing if the situation was the other way around.
Collingwood's bank balance says hello.
It is compensation for what they were entitled o which is Eade serving out his contract. The compensation is really to help fund the replacement of what they were contractually entitled to. I can't see how that is a difficult proposition. Maybe that explanation is in the Port thread when they lost Richardson to St Kilda. Where is that thread? How are Collingwood "entitled" to it. Therein lies the whole problem
Richmond also play 14 games at the MCG in 2015 and for the last 10 matches, only 1 is outside VictoriaCollingwood have 14 matches at the MCG in 2015. In their last 8 matches, only 1 is outside Victoria.
Time for some compensation for interstate clubs, eh Eddie?
Your point about a massive home ground advantage at the MCG does not stand up to even the most cursory scrutiny. Every one of the 14 MCG matches is against a fellow Victorian club. Breakdown is as follows: even you should be able to follow this surely???14 MCG matches? Your homeground.
This is a massive advantage for your club.
If you play 2 finals and a grand final, that's 17 games for Collingwood at their homeground.
Yet, all we have heard in years is Fat Eddie attacking my club, whining about inequality.
This is why this tool is regarded with such contempt.

2 matches against Carlton: they play 9 matches at MCG.
2 matches against Essendon: they play 8 matches at MCG
2 matches against Geelong: they play 5 matches at MCG
1 match against Hawthorn: they play 9 matches at MCG
2 matches against Melb: they play 12 matches at MCG
2 matches against Richmond: they play 14 matches at MCG
1 match against Saints: they play twice at MCG
1 match against Bulldogs: they play twice at MCG
1 match against North: they play twice at MCG
So yeah, Pies derive ( not )massive home ground advantage playing at MCG against other Victorian clubs, the majority of whom also play frequently at the same ground.
Also if their position on the ladder warrants it why shouldn't Collingwood play finals at the MCG.? So again another irrelevancy from you.
Once again you have been found out being disingenuous and hurling around stats and wild claims without doing proper analysis. Pretty obvious you are lacking in actual verifiable facts to back up your malicious accusations. You keep getting shot down every time.
Feel free to have the last shot as I'm not going to bother any more. It's a waste of time dealing with someone who has no credibility, twists facts, and is constantly shifting ground each time he gets caught out in an inaccuracy or straight out untruth. That's you.
Point is, you idiot, that Victorian clubs have the majority of their games at home - in Collingwood's case, at their home ground - without having to cope with the travel demands that interstate clubs have.
This is a massive advantage over interstate clubs.
Stop giving me problems. Give me solutions
Equalisation.
1. Compensation amount - to be determined.
2. Eddie is not permitted to have further weekends away with Gillon and Bucks.
3. Matt Stevic not permitted to umpire Hawks games.
4. Collingwood fans get universal dental plan paid by Eddie.
5. Hawks fans penalised with "whining" levy.
That's a constructive start.
You're right, all those away games at the start of the season are a burden. Where's our money for bolstering the clubs early in the season that attract low crowds in the non traditional footballing states?Collingwood have 14 matches at the MCG in 2015. In their last 8 matches, only 1 is outside Victoria.

We've proven more than any other team we can make the finals. Why would anyone pay to watch a team that can't make the 8?
Apart from tigers fans.
Rocket is the one breaking the contract, not Gold Coast.
Eddie's grievance should be with Eade.
Got money to cover the costs of readvertising the position, the wealth tax costs associated with paying out components of his contract and a better deal for Collingwood supporters up there.
He's set the precedence other clubs are now sure to follow. Including yours.
It always baffles me that there are so many people who would like Eddie to die.
if you ignore Port Adelaide setting the precedent last year, then yeah, Ed set the precedent....
