It is compensation for what they were entitled o which is Eade serving out his contract. The compensation is really to help fund the replacement of what they were contractually entitled to. I can't see how that is a difficult proposition. Maybe that explanation is in the Port thread when they lost Richardson to St Kilda. Where is that thread?

We've proven more than any other team we can make the finals.

Obviously no-one up there wants to watch the swans because you haven't captured the Sydney market. Sort of makes you a tenuous proposition in terms of economic viability.
