What's his disposal like?
It's been rated as quite poor, but inconsistent mostly.

If his disposal was good he would have gone top 15 I reckon.

His success really depends on whether or not he can improve it.

Seemed to be some noises in Saints camp about off field attitude issues.

Assuming for a second that's true, I think our club's culture is stronger now than it has been in bloody near 20 years and I like that we're backing ourselves in to take on a rough diamond.

Welcome Mr Lamb, let's stick it to those wolves.

His disposal looks very questionable. I just watched a high lights video and he didn't hit a target until 1 min and 35 seconds into it. Someone please tell me this is the exception rather than the rule?

I've watched 3mins of youtube highlights so I have attained expert analysis status. Doesn't look like a midfielder to me, didn't have too much composure when under pressure. He looks more like a HF/HB type. I wasn't ecstatic with his disposal either. But does have X Factor I guess.

He has run at 54% disposal efficiency across the year.

It's his biggest knock - if we can fix his disposal we'll have a potential star. But likewise Laverde's disposal wasn't exactly amazing either.

Get the feeling he's been a bit of a party animal and knows to get a real shot at an AFL career would be best to move interstate.

Hopefully he has the desire to make it because he has the tools to be quite the entertainer and impact games without too many possessions.

Darling in a moon boot together with Lamb's size, pace and endurance could indicate we could see him early in 2015 across half forward.

He'd make an interesting sub.:D

Here’s why some recruiters refuse to consider him as a first round selection: He’s run at 54% disposal efficiency for the whole year. His skills need serious work, but he does have games where he finds targets with ease. He has kicked 13 goals in 12 games. Considering six of them came in round one, you have to wonder whether he is actually much of a forward threat at all. After taking six contested marks in round one (13 marks altogether), he has taken just five more in the other 11 games. At 192 centimetres and rotating between centre half forward, the wing and half back, you’d think someone who is as prodigious as Lamb would take at least one or two per game.

In the National Championships, Lamb struggled for quite some time. He averaged 15 disposals, which isn’t bad off a half back flank, but again he ran at a really poor 57%. He only kicked the one goal in five games, but he did look okay when he moved to a back flank.

Lamb is a bit similar to Jack Watts. He has a lean body and avoids body contact in contested situations. He’s a reliable lead up target, but doesn’t quite have all the tricks of a high class key forward. Lamb is really athletic, and can run all day if he wants, but he doesn’t quite have the work ethic yet.

Erractic to say the least. Don't see why we didn't just grab Blakely.

Especially since Simpson wants good ball users. Seems like a real 'ahh * it" type pick.

Sigh.

WCE with draft picks is like a mule with a spinning wheel...

Wow, so many negative nancy's on this board. Maybe you should go support fremantle?

I mean come on guys, he's only a kid, he has plenty of room to develop. You going to judge him now on 1 highlights package? Go **** yourself.
Coulda had a good SD boy in Connor but now we have to go the guy that can't kick like half of our side. Add to that he appears to shirk the contest against 18y olds

This is quite alarming. You can't really teach hunger for the contest *cough*Masten*cough*
