The 1KM line for Judd a joke!!!!

IIRC, the plates are being sold on ebay for $5000 and it's CJUD 5. Maybe they should both go back to school.... so he can learn how to spell and so she can learn some manners :thumbsd:

Bit of healthy number plate competition going on here??:p

In all fairness to the players and Judd, people were getting very agressive just to get a little slice of them. There was pushing and shoving from left and right and you can see how it would make the boys want to get out of there!

A few bad eggs spoiled the day I think:thumbsd:.

yeah, we own them now

No we dont own them, but signing autographs and making fans happy is just as much a part of their job as playing football is. It's all part of the package. It's one day a year, when it's advertised as a Family Day, a day to come and meet the players, have stuff signed, young kids go to meet their idols. One day a year that these guys are formally required to spend time with fans and give something back to the people who make the club.

This is the club's fault in my opinion. Needs to be better organised by the sound of things.

I don't see how the club can select those from the crowd who are potentially going to get pushy and interupt a good day, but I do see your point.

It seems to me that Carlton aren't too great at organising functions?

i find it funny that people are complaining about this day!

what do you expect, no matter what the club would be struggling to organise the day 100% to cater for everyones wishes

for example....they could have expected 5,000 people and the extra 2,000 could have blown everything out of whack.

you may also say why didnt they have players like Judd in there own line for autographs?....well the group scenario is the better option than having him in his own line, can you imagine the people that wanted Murphs and Judds signature but lining up in 2 different lines to do it...it would have taken twice as long.

im sure someone out there is complaining there werent enough sausages at the bbq. get over it!!

if you want merchandise, go when its not as busy, why go on the family day when you know every tom, dick and harry will want to buy something and it will be packed!

and if you seriously want a autograph, go to bloody training, most of the time its on a saturday and you can get as many as you like and the players are more than helpful.

geez people......are we really at the point where we have to complain about waiting to get a signature etc. Some people will be glad to sleep on the concrete for a few days just to get a grand final ticket. waiting in line for an hour or so isnt that bad and i waited 2 hours to get a book signed by Kouta at his book release and it was worth it as i got not just a book but a photo with the god!!

i agree with AWG, especially Chris Judd, he is currently sitting on a $7M contract, surely one day of the year he can take time out of his "busy" schedual to sign a few autographs for people who worship him.

I lined up for an hour to get his autograph only to get told when i reached the front of the que that he and the others were leaving. I soon made my way over to the tent which Waite and Grigg(in his rockstar "dolce&gabbana sunglasses)were signing autographs and once again as i got towards the front they decided to get up and leave. As Waite was walking out i asked him quickly can u please sign my jumper he then said something under his breath which appeared to sound like "F*** Off", i stood there in disbelief and then slowely made my way out of the tent to where a few people had made a circle around Grigg. I asked him quickly aswell for an autograph and he said no more today, perhaps the sunglasses had gone to his head.

Later when i got home, i thought about it and then i thought about the speech which Dick Pratt gave , he urged that the all the supporters get on board and buy a membership and then i thought how is the club supposed to recieve support if they are treating their supporters in such a way. This is just unacceptable. I will be taking this futhur, a letter of complaint will be sent to the club.

Fantastic avatar Pamam!!!!! Where did you get it from? It's tops!:thumbsu:

mate had it on his facebook, so i decided to steal it...hahahah

i can recall seeing in his the papers early last year but can't seem to find a large version!!

I wonder how many Memberships were sold today?
Around 800 or so I read in the Age.

Our total they printed as over 25,000.

Has that really gone up by 2000+ in just over a week?

Wait till pre-season starts...........marching on to 40,000 this year for sure, esp if we get a few early wins (sad but true).

Do you get comments like that from people other than Waite on regular occasions?

So all those people were lining up for one guys autograph?

That means there must have been lots of players out an about where you could get their autogrpah and have a chat much easier.

We are a 40+ player club, stop sooking like spoilt brats because you can't get one guys autograph and go get a Ryan Jackson or Sean Hampson or someone elses ya ****ing bandwaggoners.

I remember when I was a kid I didn't care how high or low a player was in the pecking order I was just wrapped to get any players autograph.

Great post, and your right, we all are getting too wrapped up in the whole Judd arrival still.

Imagine how the new draftees feel, watching everyone flock away to see Chris or Brendan. IMO, getting an autography from the newer and less known guys is much better, as they at least have a short chat with you. With Judd it's sign, sign, sign, i'm done.

that's more like it! well said.:thumbsu:

i didnt say i was unhappy with other players autographs as i had already got hartletts, hampsons, ellards and benticks before makin my way to judds tent. i was happy with anyones it didnt bother me.

and by the way no i dont get those comments on a regular basis. the problem is these players are getting large amounts of money surely signin a few autographs couldnt do any harm and Waits comment was just simply ridiculous and unwarranted and infact your reaction suprises me
