A couple of questions for CATS fans.

1. Is the game shown live to eastern states at 830pm?

2. Do you guys have concerns about this game? If Freo play at max capacity and if Cats are off the boil having done so well so far this season and this being an away game on ANZAC Day.

A1 - Without checking I'd be surprised if this wasn't being telecast live on Friday since it isn't in Melbourne/Geelong.

A2 - Personally, I'm not too concerned. Geelong has previous history over there (last two games at Subi against Freo have resulted in 10 goal wins IIRC). The ruck might be a bit of a concern but I think the Geelong midfield should be able to take care of business (esp. with Freo missing Haselby and Bell seeming to be a little down on form) so I'd be a little p.o'ed if Geelong dropped this game.

I can also gurantee you that Shane Mumford will be playing this friday night against Freo!.

Bit suprising but exciting

We are really testing our ruck depth if that is the case. Hope he goes allright, but I imagine the fourth option can't be that crash hot. Midfield better be prepared to shark most of the night.

BTW, what is wrong with West if that is the case? If he carrying an injury or has Mumford been playing that well in the reserves?

From what I have seen of Mumford is actually pretty good. Probably only a little behind West but IMO at the moment the difference is negligible. West is a better long term prospect IMO though. If it gets down to Dawson Simpson we are screwed. He's not even close to AFL yet.

From the AFL website

IN. Gamble, Taylor, Mumford
OUT. Prismall, West, Rooke

Read in the Herald Sun that Sandilands leads the league in hit-outs, but Freo are either last or second last in clearances. Hopefully that trend continues on Friday night. :thumbsu:
