jackson- he was discracefull, poor turnovers heading into our forward line, he on a number of times tride to short pass to no one in particular, why the hell was he brought in the side anyway.

We looked small in our forward line and didnt really have marking target apart from richo when he was down there, and if we are relying on jack to be our marking target inside 50 we are kidding ourselfs.

mcgaune was pretty average aswell, G train only had one goal, but i think anyone could have played on him and done well the way hes going

pattison was barely noticed and starting to struggle, a rest is needed.

In: weve gone with youth and havent got the job done in the past3 weeks, and against the big bodys of geelong i feel that Polak, Bowden and Pettifer in are essential.

Bowden to play up forward, and Polak to take pattisons role of back up ruck

i think number 13 has to go back to Coburg....we recruited him for his kicking skills and last night they were woeful

In: Polak, Bowden
Out: Schulz, Jackson

Schulz - had a shocker last night and needs a game in the 2s to build some confidence.

Jackson - Shocking decision making kept halting our momentum going forward and poor disposal.

Polak - We need a tall target up forward when Richo isn't down there, and Polak is a very good contested mark.

Bowden - Could play up forward, but we clearly are lacking in experience which may be hurting us in these tight matches. Our backline doesn't have any experience when Newman's in the middle so he might also have to play there on chapman maybe.

Nah McMahon has been very good and just had 1 bad game, wait and see how he goes this week and if he plays shit again then drop him.

I believe thats two deplorable games in a row.

Cyril Rioli tore him a new one and too many of his possessions were turnovers or hospital handpasses last week and we all saw last night.

Not up to scratch.

Patto has been ordinary last few weeks barely scratching more than 9 possies, must do more than that and is not good enough to be a resting forward:confused:

Out: Jackson, Mcguane, either Morton/Edwards/Riewoldt (need someone who can play a more solid game)

You really have no bloody idea do you. Riewoldt Dropped you seriously have issues.

Jack had : 9 kicks 3 handballs 12 positions 1 goal. I would call that a solid game by a young man.

Edwards had 6 kicks 4 handballs 10postions and kicked 2 goals. Again he is getting better so why drop him when he got abit of the ball with 2 majors.

Morton 13postions with 2 goals So you have taken away 5goals from our side. Seriously wake up.

Mcguane out? he is the first player we have had for years who has stopped Gehrig. And who do you think we have who would have a more solid game than those 3? Pettifer? I would rather play for the future than immediate success, although with Pettifer i doubt we would have either

have you seen gehrigs form lately, they could have played anyone on him?;)

petifer can get more ball, morton/edwards/riewoldt just play cameos and they need a proper player with more consistency.

so how do you expect them to develop? you would rather go 1 step forward and 2 steps back than 1 step back and 2 steps foward. It makes no sense. And McGuane did stop gehrig, gehrig may be shit now but he still needs to be stopped. You never know, McGuane may have stopped Riewoldt if he had the opportunity but he didn't, he stopped his direct opponent and did his job. Why drop performing kids to bring in players who have held this great club back for years.

Newman has to be dropped. If you were at the game last night, you would know what I mean. He played his worst game for the RFC, that I am sure of.

Schultz played a shocker, but he has been pretty good the last few weeks so he is spared the axe IMHO

OUT:
Jackson, Newman

IN:
Bowden, and maybe Polak, Pettifer or a kid

His game last week was much worse, but last night wasn't good either. Got plenty of cheap ball, but did very little with it but go sideways or short, couple of costly turnovers, poor defensively as per usual.

I'd play another unchanged lineup against the Cats. A few were not great last night, but the only thing which ever vaguely troubles Geelong is a hard at it side with pace and stamina all over the ground who can move the ball quickly and score heavily. I honestly can't see anyone who is currently missing out on senior selection giving us any advantage over what we already have in these areas.

Bowden and Pettifer's deficiencies in pace and ability to apply pressure will only be amplified against Geelong, I'm not sure what's up with Polak injury-wise, but we don't need him defensively against their forwardline, and if he's played as a permanent target up forward (more than likely on Scarlett) it'd be tough to predict he'll get the better of him. Probably better to stick with our current forwardline of medium talls with one rotating genuine tall against Geelong and keep them on their toes all day.

If we're going to debut Cotchin soon, the Dreamtime match at the G a week later looms as a far better occasion for his first run in the seniors.

WELL, I hope Pettifer has learnt a thing or two down there at Coburg if this is what you are advocating!!

It is the things Petts doesn't do - tackle, chase, apply pressure etc. - that got him dropped and it is those very same things that will be exposed two-fold by a class team like the Cats.

Can't afford passengers against Geelong, sorry!

The likes of Edwards, Riewoldt and Morton do the one percenters and the results are showing, albeit we haven't quite got the points of late!
