Which media personality dislikes the AFC the most?

Which one of these well known footy journos/commentators has the biggest grudge against the AFC?

Sheehan gets my vote as he regularly tips us to finish bottom and he has never had anything positive to say about us. Walls at least loves Tyson Edwards.

Chris McDermott doesn't dis-like the crows

he says stuff to get ratings/readers but if you listen to him during matches and prior to matches you can tell he rates the AFC he just doesn't want to come across as bias

he is like rucci excpet he has played the game. (i.e Rucci love for Port)

I think the list should be comentators who LIKE the crows.

Tim Lane is another who dispises us.

Walls often has positive things to say about the crows.

Sheehan just dismisses the crows because he has never forgiven them for crushing Saints and North Melbourne after he wrote huge articles proclaiming both melbourne teams would win those GFs.
We made him look like the dick he is and he didn't like it then, and has since been in denial about the quality of the crows.

Rucci. Pffft. Rucci. Thinks the crows should spill their guts about everything to him, and they treat him in a dismissive manner which he really, really hates.
His writing is nearly always poisoned with negative and condescending language, which is a shame really, because he writes a damn handy travelogue (and should stick to doing so). He is just a foot-stomping tantrum-child when it comes to the crows. Puerile, mostly.

Bones.... Aaah Chris. Tch tch tch. Crows are forever getting smashed in this and smashed in that.... regardless of whether they are winning or losing.
He needs to go and practice a few more of those dinky up in the air hospital passes of which he was the master, suck it up and get over the fact he was sacked. He should see this as his contribution to two crows' FLAGS.
He picked Richmond easily FFS last week.

as i mentioned in detail in a post yesterday, sheahan consistently underates the crows and our players (top 50 list etc). however i wouldnt say he dislikes us. walls may just a little for getting him sacked (twice i think ) but surely no sane person could argue that rucci isnt the stand out candidate for this. i remember hearing reports how interstate journos were shocked out how loudly he was cheering a few yrs back when the crows got rolled by the blues in 04 (fevola kick from the boundary line..)

Rucci probably is the answer to this question, but he only continues to write stuff like he does to get a rise out of people like you and me.

McDermott just sees no need to be sicophantic like some others (K.G. etc) are to both SA teams and calls it likes he sees it, and i respect that since he actually watches our games.

The rest range from indifferent to disrespectful about the crows, but i doubt they have a hatred and i'm not sure why you expect more.

I've known Dwayne since he was a teenager, and he doesn't dislike the Crows, he loathes them.

When other teams even just score against us, his voice rises several decibels and he needs a cold spoon to get himself back under control.

I'll second that, sounds like he's using every bit of energy not to abuse the Crows. Was fantastic watching him on The Winners this week introducing the Port/Carlton game, actually looked like he was vomiting into his mouth while talking

Went with Rucci, but another one for the list would have to be Tony Shaw. All he ever does when commentating one of our games is talk about ways the opposition could beat us. Clearly hates it when we are winning.

Yes, Tony Shaw for mine. If Terry Wallace counts as a media personality I think I'd pick him too, seems to have extra disdain in his voice whenever talking about Adelaide.


Rucci I think hated the Crows a lot more five years ago but these days just keeps it up for the ratings.

Wallace has hated us ever since the 1997 Preliminary Final. He said it on the record in an article, not sure whether it was this season or last. Everytime he hears our club song it pains him because it reminds him of walking across the ground to the rooms after that game.

I dont think Rucci hates the Crows, lets be honest without the Crows he has no job, I think he gets a kick from stirring the pot.

McDermott, is not a "yes man" calls it as he sees it. However I sense there is twinge of bittnerness in some comments.

Mike Sheahan. Doesnt rate any non Vic team. I do enjoy his writing though

I'm voting for the bulk of the Foxtel commentary team as a group, especially Tony Shaw and Danny Frawley. In Round 1, I don't think I have ever heard such blatant barracking against the Crows on TV. With Rohan Smith on the boundary line, it was bloody painful to listing to.

David Schwarz is another who shit me with his sychophantic 'commentating' of the Essendon younsgters when we played them. It was like he had never seen such a brilliant group of young players, and was determined to crap on about them all night long, no matter how well the Crows were playing.

I watch with sound off. Sick of the ridiculous calls. Melbourne commentators spend a lot of time telling viewers how the opposition can/will beat us. I remember some years ago when some dick said that Richmond were winning everywhere except the scoreboard. We were 53 points up at that stage. Wish I could remember who the dork was.

It is bad as every ex player is seemingly getting a gig in the media, with little training.

I would have to say that the Shaw/Frawley combo, with Smith running the boundary and Casey adding his generic basketball speak, is a pretty tough bunch to beat in the hate Crows stakes. I really cant stand Shaw and surely there's some family resentment towards us after Robert's demise.

Just on the Rooch, it has been very amusing to note how often the "Chief Football Writer" of the Advertiser does nothing more than plagiarise other interviews - usually from AA. He did another one this week on recruitment that was almost a word for word copy of a weekend radio interview.

Come on Rooch - do your work and give us some NEWS!!

You have to remember that he probably hasn't moved with the times and still thinks a cassette recorder is the best thing since sliced bread.
